I swear, who just grabs a snake?

I used to when I was a kid. I picked up a pretty large snake when I was young and my father chewed me out for that one (for chasing after a snake I didn't know was safe). It turned out to be an escaped pet and a constrictor though, so luckily wasn't a rattler!
