New Logos for NFL teams

How so? I mentioned this on the niner board but that image is what, a medieval knight? Definitely not a representation of a Titan out of Greek mythology. Maybe if they were the Tennessee Knights.

Texans, Titans, Browns, Bolts, Pats, Jets, and 49ers look pretty cool.

Having it be reasonably close to some meaning of the word would be nice, though.

Most of those are really, really, really bad. The Seahawks one looks like a blue jay.

But the biggest improvement on the current logo goes to the Titans. His is way better than what they're currently using.

I don't know....as much as I like that new one, I love the nickname, 'The Flaming Thumbtacks" for the old one.

never noticed the tack thing for the titans logo. Always assumed their current logo was a riff on Titan (largest moon of Saturn), but I don't know if that's obvious or boneheaded. That said I had never noticed the "M" and "B" in the old Brewers mitt logo until someone pointed it out to me, so this stuff obviously isn't my strong suit.

* NYJ: Looks like "Vets", which I suppose would be appropriate given how many free agents they take on.

* SD: See BEN.

* KC: This is not a font snob's convention. Just give us the KC.

* GB: Yeah, there you go. Let's celebrate Wisconsin!

* MIN: Chewie? Is that you?

* NYG: Is that a logo or a jungle gym?

* DAL: Sometimes simple is better. Take out the Chinese guy.

* ARI: I appreciate that the current small red bird doesn't exactly menace, but this one just looks hungover.

Honestly, I think its a shame the oilers got renamed to the titans. I love the "tradition" team names like the packers and yes, the 49ers. They have such a historic feel. I think they should have stayed the oilers but I understand it was a geographically linked name.

What SHOULD have happened is the Texans should have been a new oilers team, ALA the new browns (the real browns is actually the current ravens).

Me too. I just had a revalation right now when I saw that for the first time.
