Yeah, but their team is a piece of work with nothing to look forward to in their future. They are aging, they have no receivers. Their Defense is slow, the support plalyers are bad, and Cap space is bad.

Unless Lynch can pull rabbits out of his..they are on a the bad side of a slippery slope. and you know. I just don't care.

Not only did the Seahawks win on their turf, they also won with a QB that was on their roster, and an OC that was on their staff.

They had the right guys all along to win, they just didn't know it. 😉

I somehow think Mike MacDonald and the Seahawks D had a lot more to play than Klay Kubiak and Sam Darnold

They have 57 million in cap space when the 2025 carry over is factored. Likely to target some of the bigger WR FA this offseason now that Aiyuk is gone

Who do you think they will go after? Or who would you like for the 49ers to get as a free agent WR?

Also, what do you think of Raheem Morris as the new defensive coordinator?

Might want to rewatch the NFCCG if you missed it.
The game when they couldn’t move the ball and kept handing the ball over on turnovers and turnovers on downs?

Yeah that was all kubiak 🤣

They have to get faster and get guys that can separate . Juan Jennings is likely gone through free agency . I love his grit , but they need to get faster.

Some targets I like are Kyle Pitts to replace Kittle while he is out and then fill Jennings role when Kittle comes back

At receiver I really like Alex Pierce. He’s got 4.4 speed and blocks as well. Pearsall also can seperate as well but was really limited in the late season with a PCL. If you could pair these guys with an early WR pick , it will be better weaponsthan what they had this year

This draft is supposed to be WR, LB and S deep which are 3 positions of need

The 49ers have to draft better. Schneider had a lull for about 4 years but has killed the last few drafts. Some misses along with the Lance trade has put the team behind

I’m meh about Raheem Morris . I don’t think he’s ever had a top 15 defense .

True
And honestly I like their coach. He just doesn't have the talent. You saw the respect he gave the hawks before the SB. Basically said that Pats had no shot. Unlike former players like Mccourty and Rodney Harrison who basically picked NE simply out of loyalty , and no logic whatsoever

The Niners are the 2nd oldest team in the league, they're middle of the pack in cap space, and they're sitting in the #27 slot in the draft with no extra picks in the first 4 rounds. In two games within 3 weeks against us and on their home field, they scored a grand total of 9 points and zero TD's. We're witnessing a changing of the guard. Get your fingers off the sill, the window is closing.

I'd say it's pretty clear the guard HAS changed. 41-6 in the divisional round and a SB title on their field. You HAVE to win the SB when you get the chance because windows are so fleeting. They had the best roster in football in 2023 but didn't add the young talent needed along the way to replace their "core". Keep in mind, this may be a historically bad draft class in the first place. It's a bad year to have big draft capital, which probably contributed to JS's decision to trade a 4th/5th for Shaheed. More than anything, they need to find a new GM to replace Lynch. They may be thinking the same thing because he's a on a lame duck contract currently.

Not to mention that they're playing in the toughest division in football.

They're due for a full reset. If they're smart, they'll kick Lynch to the curb and purge the roster.

It is a cyclic thing. Regardless, how fast you can rebound from mediocrity is a measure of organizational competency.

Forty Niner fans are quick to criticize Schneider's draft history, but then again, he typically drafted in the late twenties with seven wins being the worst seasonal record of his 14-year tenure (twice). The Forty Niners are currently in the midst of realizing what those perpetually late picks, season after season, can do to the roster management process. Typically, you take more gambles with high risk/high reward players when denied access to tier one draft talent. As long as the Forty Niners are drafting in the twenties, they will face a similarly difficult path to rebuild. Personally, I doubt that Lynch will ever replicate what Schnieder has done. He has to win his first championship to even be in the discussion. Eventually, the Forty Niners will stink and get some good draft picks, and the question remains if they will pursue the Trey Lance path once again.

I don't think you are thinking of the right game. NFCCG was vs the Rams, where the Hawks needed Sam, Kubiak and the rest of the O to put up 31

I also think Raheem Morris is a pretty uninspired choice for DC. His defenses have been pretty mid tier throughout his career. We all get tougher schedules next year as well. I know they’re talking about trading Mac Jones (but also denying it), but they really should consider finding a way to transition to him over Purdy. Purdy’s a physically limited QB who is only going to slow down.
