I don't think you are thinking of the right game. NFCCG was vs the Rams, where the Hawks needed Sam, Kubiak and the rest of the O to put up 31
My bad. I thought he was talking about the 49ers game

, they scored a grand total of 9 points and zero TD's.
With 0 weapons. They expected Aiyuk to be back late season. Pearsall missed the second game and was probably 60-70 % the second game with a PCL injury. Jennings can not separate. Kittle missed the second game. All the Seahawks had to do was focus on the run and stopping McCaffery out of the back field

If you doubt what a healthy Pearsall can do against your D , rewatch the week one game

They are going to sign a a big free agent WR and likely draft one as well. This offense will not look the same as the playoff game next year. Jennings is going to be gone via FA. Not saying the result will be drastically different, but the offense is going to have big changes

I know they’re talking about trading Mac Jones (but also denying it), but they really should consider finding a way to transition to him over Purdy. Purdy’s a physically limited QB who is only going to slow down.
Purdy currentlty gives way more scrambling ability than Jones. This makes up for a mid tier offensive line. He is only 26 and probably has about 3-4 years before his scrambling will decline

They have to get faster and get guys that can separate . Juan Jennings is likely gone through free agency . I love his grit , but they need to get faster.

Some targets I like are Kyle Pitts to replace Kittle while he is out and then fill Jennings role when Kittle comes back
Tonges seemed pretty solid in replacing Kittle, no?

Apples and oranges. The Seahawks D on opening day in September was not the same Seahawks D we saw in December and January. You should know that.

At receiver I really like Alex Pierce. He’s got 4.4 speed and blocks as well. Pearsall also can seperate as well but was really limited in the late season with a PCL. If you could pair these guys with an early WR pick , it will be better weaponsthan what they had this year

This draft is supposed to be WR, LB and S deep which are 3 positions of need

The 49ers have to draft better. Schneider had a lull for about 4 years but has killed the last few drafts. Some misses along with the Lance trade has put the team behind

I’m meh about Raheem Morris . I don’t think he’s ever had a top 15 defense .
Yeah I was surprised shanny didn't play pierce more cuz he looked like he wanted it more but that's shanahan

All I know is that Purdy's season was over from the moment of that stupid little dance of his against the Bears.

I hate the guy. I hate how he walks. Little bitch walk.

The Hawks are the best team in football, PERIOD. The best team won the Super Bowl. PERIOD.
I didn't say they were not. In fact, they are one of the most dominant teams in the last 40 years in terms of point differential and strength of losses

You think they’ll start diversifying away from McCaffrey? They probably need to go into the offseason with that plan given his workload this year.

Yeah and they would love to get Number 9 from us.
Not sure Walker would provide anything more than what they already have in Brian Robinson. They also drafted Jordan james who got carries in the playoff game. I don't think that would be a FA target. I just wish that they did more of a committee

I never said it will be.

The whole argument here is that the Niners look like a team whose window of opportunity is closing. With rare exceptions like the Patriots, teams only have a 3-5 year window during which they are serious contenders for a Lombardi. You can't deny that the Niners have that look about them, given their age, low draft positioning, and competitive nature of their division. That's not trash talking, it's just making an informed observation.

I realize that I may have a bias POV, but I think we've witnessed a changing of the guard. The Hawks are not only the defending SB champs, but they are going to be a force to be reckoned with for the next 3-4 years.

rewatch the week one game....you mean the one where the whiners scored 17? Yes, it was a loss for us in the first game with a new QB and new OC. And yes, Pearsall had 100 yards. But the whiners offense still only scored 17.....and that was their highest score in three games against us. Last year the whiners did well against our D prior to our bye week, where we traded for Ernest Jones and we improved dramatically for the second half of the season. The second game last year the whiners scored 20. In 2023 the whiners scored 19 against a Macdonald coached defense in Baltimore. It's not just about "we were so banged up".

In general, Shanahan's offense has struggled against Macdonald's defense. And based on the pre-Super Bowl interview with Shanahan, he doesn't disagree.
