What’s your feeling right now?
The problem with cap hell and bad contracts is that the GM has to accept where the team is and make logical moves to that effect.I actually expected this team to struggle. The team is in cap hell and has some bad contracts. Mike has this team finishing around 500. With a lesser team than Carroll had. I see this team being really good next year. It's not gonna take over night.
Pretty much where I'm at.I decided early on, before the season, that I would let this season go. I wouldn't get all bent out of shape about their overall win/loss record... AS LONG AS there were improvements in the areas that were clearly problems during the past seasons.
I also had higher hopes for the defense by this point... and figured the o-line would take more time, but would have looked better than they do now.
I'm a little bummed, but still patient.

Schneider has fallen into a classic trap: making moves with long-term ramifications for short-term gain without any real chance at the superbowl.
Either make moves that make sense for a rebuilding team, or go all-out to win (resulting in either winning or needing to rebuild).
Mediocre teams who make mediocre moves stay mediocre.
Yup, if MM doesn't show continual improvement I would like to see him for a year or two without Schneider. Just like I wanted to see Schneider for a year or two without Pete. The problem with cap hell and bad contracts is that the GM has to accept where the team is and make logical moves to that effect.

I like this post , maybe because that's what I'm thinking. The way this team is constructed presently, it's not a strong contender but I have faith once MM is firmly established, it's going to kick ace Veronica Vaughn.Coach took over a paper tiger, going to take some time to get this team in winning form. I expected (and still do) an up and down year, with the outside shot at the wildcard.
This is not a good team, but there are flashes of what's to come. Very promising.
