We’re obviously pretty good in the DB department and at least to me, Pete has always had an affinity for good DB play.
Pass rush was non-existent last week and while it improved this week, it’s still below par.
Now…on to the question….are we running a soft zone and if so, why do we presume the ILBs to patrol passing zones in the middle?
Teams are just chunking away 7-8 yard passes, often with little resistance.
You could say it’s not complicated…and perhaps that is the case. But I don’t get why the corners play so far off at times if we know we’re good in deep coverage.
I’ve been watching. I know what formations were running (just peewee but I’ve coached for 10+ years and work with the middle school and high school on developmental paths). But Seattles D confuses the shit out of me.
What are we trying to do?
