I'm not entirely disgusted and depressed as I usually am after a loss. Some thing's happened which don't usually, if ever. Bad calls and blown plays. Plus that's a good team, that had to earn everything.
I am concerned about two things;
BFS has called me a "Sidney" hater in a few threads. Which, while I'm not a hater, I never liked the signing. I just don't trust his effort every play, game or even a season. I don't trust him to be a "#1". He needs to step up a bit. He needs to be the guy to open things up a bit more. He just does. Maybe he's giving full effort, or maybe not, I don't know. But as a #1 he needs to open things up a bit more. And, not going back to the ball on the last pass was pretty inexcusable. Cable looked like he wanted to deck him, and I did too.
Second gripe; the last drive play-calling. I'm a little surprised after Russell scrambles for some large yardage, with a RB next to him, Bevell goes 4 straight plays out of read option. In fact, I don't think the Seahawks should ever go no back, really. Wilson's a threat to run, add two threats to run. Plus, the passing lanes we're mighty large off of shotgun with a RB next to Wilson. It just feels like there's a lot of cuteness for the sake of cuteness, offensively. Just like the loss in Stl last year, this is frustrating because they seeming ran the ball at will, yet they lose. I know its sound simple, but thats only because it is; if you lose while rushing THAT well ITS playcalling.
Please save the "but we're 4-1, quit whining". I'm here to talk football. Yes, I'm content with things, but these are concerns.
