He is going to the steelers. We just jettisoned our receiving core. Steelers now has a decent to good receiving core. Mr Schneider has shown he isn't the best drafter in the last decade unless he fleeces a team for multiple 1st and 2nd round pics. Not very appealing to QB's, especially ones coming off a decent year and want to get back to the playoffs. I'm seeing darnold as a pipe dream at this point.

I'm not saying the moves we made are bad or good, in fact, I'm kind of indifferent as this is a new team in the making, shaped by our new coach. I am saying that this isn't a selling point for getting QB's to sign here to a run first mentality.

I disagree.

Darnold knows Kubiak and knows the system. The Steelers and Seahawks both have cap space and should offer similar contracts.

Darnold came from the Jets and probably wants continuation after some rough years. He came from San Fran and then Minnesota. Both of those stops, he ran similar offenses.

I think he goes to Seattle knowing the Hawks are going to do some damage in F.A and the draft. They are armed with resources on both fronts.

Quite sure DK put in a few good words for Wilson. With that, Fields will soon be out of work. Schneiders shall get to pick between Darnold and Fields, unless Vikings curve ball us by signing Darnold, then we will have Fields. ummmm, Alternatively, the Steelers sign Field and the Vikings sign Darnold, we shall have Russell Wilson.

In Sherman's podcast he seemed to think the Vikings have at least some interest in retaining Darnold. They won 14 games. They are not gonna just walk on that with unproven 2nd year guy. They don't even know if McCarthy can stay healthy a full season at this point. This might all be media conjecture.

Sorry, but master chess and John Schneider do not belong in the same sentence; however, not to sell him short, 5 'you know' and 3 'like' in a single statement happened.

How many ex Viking QBs are going to put up big numbers in MN and then suck after they leave it?

My big bet is that Daniel Jones balls out and then becomes the 2nd coming of Kirk Cousins.

It's like drafting a Texas Tech QB because they put up big numbers in college. Sure...you MIGHT get a Mahomes but it's probably Grant Harrelson.
