And then there are “die hards” fans of Chuck Knox era etc…

Yeah. Back then the main reason to watch the Hawks was Zorn to Largent and Herrera's fake field goals. Some of those fake field goals were hilarious. Here's a YouTube video.

I agree, having Murphy in there has made a huge difference. Even if the dude is soaking up double teams it is helping the rest of the guys. We don't have a lot of depth on the D so here's to those guys staying healthy for the rest of the season.

Having Big Cat and Murphy is the most talent we've had there at once in awhile.

I agree. The depth is fine if the stars are healthy. But i agree with the OP, Murphy goes out and this defense falls apart. We haven't had a guy of his caliber on the inside in a long time.

He last played four years before I began rooting for the team, and I was a kid living three time zones away, but it's still weird. From what I'm reading, it's painfully obvious that Wyman's shining legacy as a two-time playoff game participant who played more than eight games in three of six seasons for a team that was almost never on TV, should have transcended the technological limits of the time and made him ubiquitous in national media, and not just in sports.

On PFR's franchise rankings in Approximate Value, Wyman ranks 92nd at 30 AV, tied with franchise phenoms Darryl Williams, Nick Bebout, and Rick Mirer, and just one point behind Germaine "To Every Conversation About Greatness" Ifedi. I was hoping to have a good day today, but now I'm going to be tormented with the newfound realization that I missed out on the otherworldly career of the Rick Mirer of middle linebackers.

Efren Herrera was amazing. I only saw videos of him. They changed the rules cause of him

With all your superfluous adjectives and horrendous hyperbole, you still miss the point. Dave Wyman is beloved and well known around here because we listen to him on the radio everyday as we drive home from work on 710AM…
