Cross and Lucas were pretty damn good picks. No way of knowing that Lucas was gonna' be injured so often.
Agreed. I sure hope Lucas' knee holds up but I'm worried it won't and JS needs to be planning for that.

I don't hold out much hope at all for Haynes until he loses that gut and drops 20 lb of unless fat. At his age, his body fat should be much lower.

And while they're at it, add Bradford to the same list as Haynes.

Both need a dietician and conditioning coach that will re-kindle their NFL careers.

Bradford seems to be the weakest link on the OLine.

Guard is the biggest issue. If there were a couple upgrades at both guard spots, then I think rolling with Olu, Sundell and Novitsky at OC isn't so bad.

Move Christian Haynes to the centre of the weight room and make sure he lifts, he seems to lack functional strength needed to be a G as a pro. He's so far been a disappointment for a 3rd rd pick.

Finding a quality LG should be a priority for the OLine.

Lucas has stated his knee is 100%.

He wasn't sure why Pete said what he said about the injury or why his knee was being talked about as being completely f$#%ed. It was a bad injury, but not career ending in the slightest.

I'll take his word for it, not word salad from a coach or PR team.

I was going to say what did I miss? Lucas even said himself after the last game he feels great and can't wait to get an offseason where he doesn't have to worry about his knee at all. All signs point to he is passed the knee issue. So i'm glad I'm not the only one who was confused about people saying his knee is a chronic issue

See post above.
I'll believe it when I see it. And damn, I really hope we see it.
What is there to be confused about? It has been a problem much of his time here. It's not just some wild, crazy opinion.
Being cautiously optimistic comes along with a guy who has miss quite a few games. I'm not the only one who has concerns about Lucas and his knee.

it always felt like PC wanted to give every rookie a red shirt year and would IR them for little to nothing. I’m pro wrong but that’s what it felt like.

He wasn't sure why Pete said what he said about the injury

He was solid in his rookie year, even though the Seahawks knew Lucas had knee issues in college. Maybe they had hoped those problems were in the past after Lucas played in 16 games in 2022. Then he suffered a setback with his worrisome knee in Week 1 of 2023 and did not play again until Week 13. This offseason, Lucas had surgery to hopefully help repair the issue...

This is why Pete called the issue "chronic". He's had this problem for several years. The Surgery he had a year ago has "hopefully" fixed the problem which implies uncertainty. I'm glad they held him out of the Rams game and I hope with a "normal" offseason he'll be good to go for 2025 with no lingering concerns.

Moving Haynes to center signaled that he was not cutting it at guard, right or left. It also signaled that Olu wasn't impressing the coaching staff. Our drafted interior linemen in the past few seasons, Bradford, Olu, and Haynes were mediocre at best.

We need better scouts, that is what we need.

I thought I heard Lucas state that it wasn't chronic too.

He has and doesn't know why/how that rumor started. But it seems people are still running with it. It was a really bad injury, but it's fixed. Just needs to get a full offseason of conditioning in.

Again, I'll take the man at his word. Not someone playing word salad games with the media.

I hope this is true. He could be a huge piece of a winning team if he can stay healthy.
