OK, probably not super realistic but hey, i didn't write the simulator. And if we could get Hood and Price!? Home run. My thoughts were these as I went through the draft:

1. CB seemed like a deep position, but Hood has jumped out at me from his tape and his combine. I liked Cisse as well, but Hood was top choice. I was eyeing Price, but it looked like Washington would be available if Price wasn't, so i took Hood. I like our secondary but Woolen played a lot and we need depth at CB. Hood is someone who I feel can eventually start.

2. It blew my mind that Price was available. Starting caliber running back for this year. I grabbed him. Total coup.

3. I like the way the team is trying to keep stability on the O-line, and I know we have picked a LOT of guys there that could emerge (Haynes, Cabeldue, Richman, etc) but the fact that Bradford played so poorly and nobody was able to unseat him makes me concerned. So we'll add Rutledge to the competition mix. His scouting report sounds promising.

4. I like the WR's we have, especially JSN, Horton and Bobo, but Kupp is getting old and it showed many times last year. Hurst has size, speed and athleticism, and you need depth at this position.

Note: I had been looking at Edge throughout the draft, but just didn't see the right player at the right spot. I think we are good at Edge this year, and can look to address the position next year, which is supposed to be a deeper draft in general.

We could come away with 3 or 4 premium players. Debunking the whole weak draft narrative. Several good runningbacks, cornerbacks and a few safeties....would like to see the team trade up again to get two shots in the 32 to 42 range. Could you imagine Zion and AJ Haulcy. Love the mock. Ty

I like the players you drafted, but unrealistic where they were drafted.

agreed, but one can only work within the bounds of the simulation. Glad you like the pics though!

The weak draft narrative is interesting. What I have heard from the pundits is that the draft is weak primarily from a depth standpoint, meaning after the first few rounds it gets very slim. Which doesn't mean you can't get (as you point out) 3 or 4 quality players in those early rouns. But maybe fewer gems in the 4th and 5th, which is where the Seahawks have traditionally found difference makers that other teams have overlooked.

Will be interesting to see how things pan out in the NFL for this draft class. I know in the past there have been some abysmal draft classes. We'll see.

Love the Colton Hood pick, obviously. Not too familiar with a lot of the other picks. I like Johah Coleman but not sure he is the kind of RB the Hawks need as he seems similar to the guy we picked up from GB.
I am in the Hood, Johnson, Cisse camp and am downright giddy that there are a dozen CB's in the top 100 and John & Mike are at the controls.

After a trade down to the top 2nd we take one of
CB's Johnson, Hood or Cisse

64. RB Mike Washington Jr Ark
The fumbles are a concern but he is bigger and faster than Love. At 6-1, 230 a poor man's Bo Jackson.
Sticky gloves & gauntlet drills.

96. DT Darrell Jackson Jr. Florida State
Emmense power & massive wingspan. Needs some work but huge potential.

4th (from trade down)
T/G/C Trey Zuhn lll Texas A&M
Big body, experience and versatility for the OLine.

6th Edge Trey Moore Texas
6-3, 250. 30.5 sacks in 5 years.

Bo Jackson? Maybe a poor man’s Ohio State Bo Jackson? Because he’s nothing like the real Bo Jackson. I’d say he’s more of a poor man’s Darren McFadden.
