OK, probably not super realistic but hey, i didn't write the simulator. And if we could get Hood and Price!? Home run. My thoughts were these as I went through the draft:
1. CB seemed like a deep position, but Hood has jumped out at me from his tape and his combine. I liked Cisse as well, but Hood was top choice. I was eyeing Price, but it looked like Washington would be available if Price wasn't, so i took Hood. I like our secondary but Woolen played a lot and we need depth at CB. Hood is someone who I feel can eventually start.
2. It blew my mind that Price was available. Starting caliber running back for this year. I grabbed him. Total coup.
3. I like the way the team is trying to keep stability on the O-line, and I know we have picked a LOT of guys there that could emerge (Haynes, Cabeldue, Richman, etc) but the fact that Bradford played so poorly and nobody was able to unseat him makes me concerned. So we'll add Rutledge to the competition mix. His scouting report sounds promising.
4. I like the WR's we have, especially JSN, Horton and Bobo, but Kupp is getting old and it showed many times last year. Hurst has size, speed and athleticism, and you need depth at this position.
Note: I had been looking at Edge throughout the draft, but just didn't see the right player at the right spot. I think we are good at Edge this year, and can look to address the position next year, which is supposed to be a deeper draft in general.
