I hope he doesn’t go anywhere!

So here we are, early in the offseason.
We have lots of of unknowns and speculation ahead of us.

My hope for .net The Community is, we can fill our pages with good quality and enjoyable conversations while we wait for the beginnings of next season.

Probably like many of you, I’ve been spending time on the YouTube enjoying SB60 highlights and commentary.
I ran across this gem on a fan favorite: Jake Bobo

I’ll take more please.
I understand that he’s taking a place that might be filled by someone more productive but…..

I love me some Bobo, and hope he doesn’t go anywhere.

I think Kupp & Bobo's blocking are underappreciated and Fleury is going to like Barner, Saubert and hopefully Arroyo lives up to his unique potential along with Horton.
I don't see a need for big additions in this area and hope they stay with the status qou.

Bobo is inexpensive and a great blocker, who will also make a tough catch when called upon. He makes under a million a year and will probably always be around the veteran minimum. And, he doesn't complain about the number of touches he gets. Low maintenance, low salary, ideal skillset for this offense. I'm not saying his position is "safe" but I don't think they're in a hurry to cut him either.

Not only will a new OC help us get more guys involved more often but give Darnold another year of OTA’s etc to get even more comfortable with the system and everyone.

I have to remind myself that was only year 1 for Sam here. The NFL playbook is crazy and couple that with each players own strengths and tendencies. Sky’s still the limit and we won it all already!! 😳

If what we assume happens, we keep the current playbook. We may get keep the current concept but new playbook and play calls and names. This will have to be seen. New OC will want his footprint on it somewhwere.

My wife knew that I was one of the many Bobo Fanboys to the point that she bought me his (throwback) jersey. We watched this vid together and she is now a Bobo Fangirl.

pmed's 12 minute video is a must watch.

I'm not going to say Rudy and I'm not going to say Vince Papale because Bobo's underdog story has had much more impact on this team than those they made movies about.
This is about chemistry, hard work and the fabric of this world champion team.
Not saying he is a must keep, but he has unseen value as a STer, blocker and plenty of production potential at a cost effective rate.

Sometimes losing a guy that will run through a brick wall for you can hurt more than what you can gain from a thoroughbred, see DK.

not sure how you dont route for a dude like him. so happy for him that he got a TD in the NFC championship and got a ring. makes the normal hard-worker high school kids know theres at least a chance, however small that may be. loved when he was called the white steve largent. lol
