Was that when the fix was in and they didn't call the obvious opi on the Rams vs Saints?
Yep, the ONLY reason the Rams even made that super bowl. Rams defender has his back to the receiver, blasts into the receiver while the ball is in the air. Magically......no call.

I believe last year was the first year. It's odd for sure. Why not 3 on Saturday, 3 on Sunday. $$$$ is my guess. Lame though.
Eventually there will be football everyday all year long and it will be more meaningless than it already has become.

No, it wasn’t that Super Bowl.

Rams played MNF v the Cards the year we won the SB.

The very first MNF playoff game was in 2022 for the 2021 season. Rams hosted the Cards.

I'm referring to the game against the Saints. Worst non call we have ever seen. That was the year the SB was in your stadium too.
Yes I know what you are referring to. But it has nothing to do with this thread topic, which is: Playoffs on MNF.

and No - Rams did not play the Pats in the SB at Sofi. it was played in Atlanta.

Fair enough.
The Rams played a SB in their own stadium. The officiating helped that quite a bit. But yes, I went off topic.

Another MNF playoff game fact:

Jan. 16, 2023: Brady plays his last football game, a 31-14 wild-card loss to the Cowboys

I believe that another 'sub-factor' to having playoff games on Monday night is the fact that ABC owns the rights to MNF... and I believe they don't have any rights to broadcast NFL games on any other nights... so adding playoff games to Monday nights was a means to add a 3rd broadcast network to the playoffs' revenue side of the league.

It's the f**k Dean Spanos rule. If his team make the playoffs they have to play on the East Coast in the 10:00 spot on Saturday to make it as hard for them as possible.

It's an excellent rule.
The game is in Texas and not at 10:00am.

Their previous playoff games were at 5:15pst; on a Sunday; on a Sunday; on a Sunday; in Denver on a Sunday at 4:40 mt; on a Sunday at 4:40est; at home on a Saturday at 8:08pst; on a Sunday at 4:45est.

Respectfully, what are you talking about?

I am seeing 0 Saturday east coast 10:00 playoff games in their history.

My apologies. I'm forgetting that Saturday playoff games are at later times than Sunday games. My reference was to the 2018 Playoffs. The Chargers travelled East to play at the Ravens in the early Sunday slot, returned home, then returned East the following week to play at the Patriots in the early Sunday time slot. Chargers fans were incensed. Most Spanos haters on the other hand thought it was both justified and hysterically funny.
