We can argue till the cows come home about the contact that was made, but I observed that Gronk only turned to look back and did not try to come back to the ball. If one is trying to catch the ball and/or knows they're getting that type of contact, why would one not try to go back and catch it and at least draw the penalty? He realized that he was 3-4 yards past where the ball was thrown and didn't try to come back to the ball. It lead the referees to believe it was uncatchable.
I have no horse in this race, btw. If anything, I think Carolina winning helps us so I don't care. I wouldn't have minded seeing another huck into the endzone.

He couldnt compete to the ball because he was being held away from the ball. It seriously is irrelevant whether Gronk tried to battle through the defender. Like seriously 100% irrelevant. Please try to argue within the rules why thst point is relevant.
But thats Brady. Holding is allowed for the great QB's.Axx":1jxgnts9 said:for all of you who didn't believe in the panthers and are too busy jerking off the patriots.

He had a total lack of class after the game. I wonder if he gets fined for following the refs into the tunnel screaming at them.KCHawkGirl":1di6hc9s said:At least Brady showed some class in his presser even though he was pissed big time.

I think you need to go back and watch the replay and watch how much contact was being made by Keuchly.
It should have been a holding call. If Gronk tries to make a play on it, it should have been PI.
I dont even like Brady but how can you blame him for that. I'd be piss too if the refs pick up a flag and don't even give you a explanationNatethegreat":gt6zuaw8 said:He had a total lack of class after the game. No way. Ive seen the play replayed and Gronk was literally held out of the endzone. Like seriously both his hands were held and he was escorted out of the endzone.
Again, like I mentioned before, Im not sure why you seem to be giving the benefit of the doubt to the player who cmmitted the penalty. Imo this is backwards logic. Especially knowing the player (gronk), if he wasnt hugged out of the endzone I believe there was a CHANCE Gronk could have come back and caught the ball. AND, it doesnt matter whether you think he wouldn't have, but he MIGHT have. You still need to make the call because it always makes sense to give the benefit of the doubt to the victim, not the penalized player.

Hard to argue with that. That's a penalty all the way.
