Night and day difference from last year.

Last year at this time we were all hoping that the Flynn that we signed in FA would be close to the Flynn that threw for 6 TDs against the Lions, and we were also hoping that we could find a MLB and a pass rusher in the draft. At least that's where my hope was focused.

And this year, we all know that we finally have a franchise QB... our first... and there is absolutely no quit in him. He personifies the old Raider slogan... Commitment to Excellence. We love him and he's ours!! He's already showed us he is a leader and can play in the clutch. We hoped that Flynn might be a franchise QB but our hopes were exceeded by the play of a rookie. We are so fortunate.

My hope this year is primarily focused on the play of our O-line. I'm hoping that Carp returns and is capable of playing at a Pro Bowl level... and that Breno continues to develop his pass-blocking and remains a road grader in the run game. If our O-line improves from last year... and I believe that they will... the Hawks ceiling is sky high.

Last year we were hoping for the moon. This year it's within reach.

Last year we do great awesome, we do terrible eh...what do you expect.

This year...it's like superbowl or bust.

and it's definitely going to be harder because we're going to be favorites going into a lot of games this time around.

I guess I see why the QB always got the girls, the reverence people hold for the position is interesting. The shock Patriots fans had that some nobody would dare trash talk Tom Brady was comical. For the NFL fan, if you have the golden armed QB, life is good Donkey.

The level of confidence in Wilson is a good thing but the expectations for him are growing leaps and bounds as well. In the end, the angst of not having a QBOTF for the past few years was stifling. That has been replaced with an almost maniacal belief that the team has hit the mother lode. Very interesting shift in a year's time.

Wilson is such a big answer he makes the 10 AM start time concerns, trivial.

And John, I love you.

What I LOVE more than anything about this team under Pete Carroll is the improvement we've seen the teams make over the coarse of a season.

It's quite amazing and quite evident and almost tangible. I used to be a diehard Idaho Vandal Football fan. The Vandals similar to your Huskies have had some good coupled with alot of bad play. WIth the Vandals it seemed like the team never really progressed. That the same mistakes, were constantly plaguing my teams.

To contrast I've never seen a team progress as much as with the Seahawks under PC. It used to be under Ruskell that 4-7 round draft picks were worthless, that you hardly got a contributor out of those picks. Even 1st rounders would sit on the bench - C.Spencer, K. Jennings, Lo-Jack. Meanwhile It's unbeleiveable how draft picks are earning quality playing time sooner rather than later under PC.

Going back to the progress, in 2010 was the year to get things started with the staff cycling through players at an alarming rate.
in 2011, the team struggled out of the gate- but by midseason and with a effort to re-focus on the run. The team showed tremendous progress. Especially the OL
In 2012 Once again by mid-season the offense raised itself to a higher level- infact levels before never seen. I can only imagine what will happen in 2013.
I'm exicted to see what this offense/defense/ special teams will be able to do with another year of experience under their belt and with key upgrades at specific positions.

Last year, we were over skeptical.

This year, we're over confident.

;)

pretty much sums it up for me

Me also.

At least we're consistent!

This pretty much sums up the attitude around here from year to year. lol

God help us, our only consistency is the lack of.
