Hell of player..

The cost would be sky high though. If we 100% knew what we had with our O´Line and QB moving forward, I’d be all in paying a premium.

However, if the O-line doesn’t gel and Darnold underperforms a little, it would be hard to be in position without premium draft picks for a few years.

Maybe I’m just a little gun shy after giving up so much for Adams (I know, I know…different player and position).

Sounds like he is going somewhere though. The only hope Jurrah has now is to offer him insane money.

Agreed. If he was really available, a lot of teams would be in on the action. He's the kind a piece a championship contender makes to put them over the top.

Just remember: There's the Aden Durde connection. Unlike the Cowboys, the Hawks wouldn't do him "dirty."

Everyone thinks his value is two1st's but this rift looks irretrievable with Parsons' public statement that he's done with the Cowboys. At this point it will come down to the team that MP most wants to play for and also coughs up a respectable contract. Really, JJ doesn't have much leverage and will eventually have to cut his losses & accept lower compensation. -Unless he wants the stink in the room to linger for a long time.
Cowboy fans are pissed. lol

Too much money. We are good to go. Our cap is fixed. Our defense is already good.
Our D is good, but lacks an all-star edge that destroys an OC's plans. Pressure was very good from the interior. Parson's is an elite upgrade at a cornerstone D position. We have the cap, pay him a bigtime bonus and restructure in 3 years. This is a win now move.

Mafe or Hall + Walker + 2026 1st + 2027 3rd might get it done.

I've never been a fan of trading our high draft capital, but Parsons would be an exception. This is an elite player in his prime that had the balls to tell JJ to go F' himself, rightfully so. Parson's isn't a bad actor, he's a smart talent betting on himself. He immedietly makes the D-line top in the NFL and D inside the top 4, arguably 1.

No to Hall, yes to Mafe

Didn't the Cowboys have Tank and Parsons? I don't watch them but I don't think they won playoff games.

I completely agree. Been saying for a couple years now, this team is lacking a game-wrecking pass rusher, and they haven't really made a push for one either.

The owner/GM talking to a player about his contract without the agent present is dirty pool. I'm surprised that doesn't violate the CBA.

This is a no brainer.
The only way it doesn't happen is if John thinks it's too much draft capital or this is the hill Jerry chooses to die on.
Start negotiations, play the long game and wait J. Jones out.

We have the cap room now, we will have a ton of cap room in the offseason.

Adam Schefter noted the Khalil Mack trade from the Raiders to the Bears in 2018 as being a potential similar comp to a potential Parsons trade. Here's what the deal ended up as...

Bears Get:

--Khalil Mack
--2020 2nd Round Pick
--2020 7th Round Pick

Raiders Get:

--2019 1st Round Pick
--2020 1st Round Pick
--2021 3rd Round Pick
--2019 6th Round Pick

Anyway...interesting.

Give up two firsts and half the fanbase will implode.
