Micah Parsons *possible* trade incoming?

Word is he wants out of Dallas and negotiations have ceased. Now this is all speculative at this point of course, but Parsons was seen catching an Alaska Airlines flight to an unknown destination. Could he be catching a flight to... Seattle? Would you want Micah on this team and what would a trade to acquire him look like?

This is Cowboy/Jones stupidity. This guy's new contract should have been done a long time ago. It's simple, really, You make him the highest paid non QB in the league. But they keep waiting, and the price keeps going up. Why is this contract thing still going on?

I still think the odds are steeply in favor of Dallas resigning him. This would be the biggest kick in the nuts to the fanbase I can think of. But...if he truly was on the market, two first round picks and more would be the start. He'd be one of the only non QB players I'd think about giving up a king's ransom to get.

Hell of player..

The cost would be sky high though. If we 100% knew what we had with our O´Line and QB moving forward, I’d be all in paying a premium.

However, if the O-line doesn’t gel and Darnold underperforms a little, it would be hard to be in position without premium draft picks for a few years.

Maybe I’m just a little gun shy after giving up so much for Adams (I know, I know…different player and position).

Sounds like he is going somewhere though. The only hope Jurrah has now is to offer him insane money.

I'm just fantasizing here, but if you take the leap of faith that Emmanwori and Murphy will both pan out as Pro Bowl type players, then add them to borderline All Pro Witherspoon and an all world player like Parsons, you've got the cornerstones for one scary defense for years to come, especially with a defensive guru like MM at the helm.

Get Parsons into the Virginia Mason Athletic Center like right now. Roll out the negotiations with Jerry Jones until the scales tip heavily to our side. Get the paperwork rolling and throw Bobo out as trade bait if you have to, but pull him back once the contract hits the point of no return.
Leave Jerry with one of our 3rd stringers and some cap room while he watches Demarcus Lawrence & Micah Parsons in Seahawk uniforms.
Time to earn that extention John.

Mafe or Hall + Walker + 2026 1st + 2027 3rd might get it done.

I've never been a fan of trading our high draft capital, but Parsons would be an exception. This is an elite player in his prime that had the balls to tell JJ to go F' himself, rightfully so. Parson's isn't a bad actor, he's a smart talent betting on himself. He immedietly makes the D-line top in the NFL and D inside the top 4, arguably 1.

Don't even think that it would cost less than two first round picks and more and a record contract extension for him at trade time for it to happen.

Too much money. We are good to go. Our cap is fixed. Our defense is already good.

If they include Mafe in the trade who is due for his own payday soon (20mil?) you minus that 20 from the 40+ it would take to sign Parsons. You could possibly get Parsons for 20-22 mil (minus the 20 for extending Mafe) plus a 1st and 2nd.

Do it!

You might be right, but personally I don't think Mafe a first and a second gets it done. If he was truly shopped around (big if), there will be a bidding war for an elite pass rusher, probable first ballot HOFer who has years left of his prime, and a player that only a couple other defensive players can even be mentioned in the same sentence as him. But it's interesting to speculate on this explosive development. :)
