Miami used their 3rd string QB - We don't have one.

Maybe it's just me but it worries me that we only have one backup while even last Sunday Miami was using their 3rd stringer.

Does it worry anyone else?

Their third string QB was promoted from the practice squad after the injury to Tua. He wasn’t with the team for even a month, so technically the dolphins didn’t even have a third string QB either.

Didn’t they put in a new rule you could keep a 3rd qb as inactive but theyd still be available to play if needed? A 49er rule?

I would rather give the roster spot to a position like a RT, i would rather have a skill position player as an emergency QB carrying a 3rd QB

Have the Seahawks in their entire history ever had to go to a third quarterback in a game?

Yes they can do that but it takes a roster spot that can be better put to use with other positions.

If we are in a game and both our top 2 qbs get injured we might as well put in a backup lineman at FB and direct snap to the RB

Zorn, Krieg and Adkins all played. The original #12!
Great find. I remember the day before the Seahawks beat the Panthers in the NFC championship game in January 2006 Adkins and I talked for a while at a Seahawks pep rally at some bar near the stadium. I also had a great discussion with Dave Wyman that day who was a super genuine guy.
