Anyone else concerned about his play like I am? I mean I have never seen so many low shotgun snaps from him before and he seems to get blown backwards into the backfield much more often this year than last.

I'm a bit worried. Our o-line as a whole hasn't done a great job of run blocking consistently. Sometimes they look good, other times the RB has to avoid a defender in the backfield. I think Unger has to take a lot of the blame for that.

He was also called for holding a couple times against SF. Maybe he's hiding an injury.

Not sure why he all the sudden can't seem to just snap the ball straight. Also, seems like many times, Wilson isn't even expecting a snap and boom there it is.

My concern in the beginning of the season was the defensive line, but no doubt the O'line is the concern if there is concern to be had. The line looked like it was missing the Pro bowl LT. Hoping things get cleaned up with a much better opponent in the Texans this week.

I mentioned his play in another thread. A lot of bobbled/oddball snaps, holding calls, and also getting handled on the LOS. Not that concerned yet but its something to work on!

I was very curious about an injury as well when they showed DangeRuss taking snaps from Jeanpierre on the side line during the game.

Very possible. They don't have to report injuries that don't keep players out of prctice or anything, so he may have something wrong we don't know about.

I was relieved when Unger stayed in the game, but now that the subject is brought up, it does make you wonder if Unger had some kind of injury during the game. I haven't seen him on the injury report. I wonder what that was all about?

I think Unger is a great player but he's struggled early this season. Hopefully it's just a temporary injury he hasn't told us about that's behind the slump. In terms of technique and "eyeball test" he basically looks like the same guy, he's just getting beat now. Could just be that he faced some really good competition.

Apparently his left arm has been bothering him but he played through it. Still doesnt explain the weird snaps though

Even during pre-season it seemed like Unger wasn't on the same page as Wilson. Also, wasn't he an offensive captain last year? Interesting that he wasn't named a captain again this year.
