This stuff just might drive him to an early retirement.

What a horrible thing to say. You may have no trouble showing disrespect for another person and what they personally stand for, but not everyone wants their private thoughts broadcast all over the world. If you've had your words printed and taken out of context, which can be embarrassing, you might understand. When you hear the sportscasters disrespect Lynch for not spilling his soul to them every week, you're hearing it from the point of view of someone who has very few scruples and are willing to bare their own soul for everyone to see.
No, Lynch doesn't owe YOU anything. He gave you his talent out on the field.

He does actually in fact owe the media something. He signed a contract agreeing to do them and. Nobody forced him to sign it and get into a line of work that requires him to speak in public.

What I believe is he has is lost trust and faith in the media especially any media from North America. If you go back a number of years Marshawn was in plenty of interviews pre-2008ish days. These years included his college years at Cal, pre NFL draft, and when he arrived in Buffalo. Everything changed when he made some poor choices in life and the Media blew up and ran with it what one could call "character assassination" . If you pull up old Buffalo news articles and read some of the opinions the journalist had you would be upset to if it was in reference to you.
It is well known that once you lose trust with Marshawn that it is lost for good. He has talked about that in great detail in a small documentary about his life that was on ESPN E: 60 (2:40 mark or so) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3cWjT9lpZc, I feel that is why he chooses not to talk to any media here except for those that he has trust with including Mike Rob. I believe he feels that the media will take what he says and turn it into something he isn't such as a thug, trouble maker, or whatever and it isn't worth his time to give them that opportunity. He sure seemed like his old self when interviewed by this Japanese reporter in recent years https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyTuIFGNNd0.
I have no issues if he doesn't wish to speak to the media nor do I take any issue with the replies he gives to the media now. I do appreciate the local media here respecting Lynch and not pushing his button unlike John Clayton and the other national idiots. I just find it hard to claim this is all due to anxiety of any sort. I respect the man both on and off the field and I want nothing more then to see him retire as a Seahawk.
