As long as he can hit at T-Mobile. That always worries me about trades.

Well sure, but that's not a concern specific to Donovan. That's just a general concern no matter which player they acquire because T-Mobile is the least hitter friendly ballpark in baseball. At least in this case the player has a 4 year track record of being a good hitter at the MLB level. That's the best they can really do, imo, given the ballpark they have to work with (unless they're willing to change the ballpark, but that's a whole different topic).

Oh for sure. It's why I was so desperate for Naylor to sign as I knew he could hit here.

Think about this. Last year our opening day starters at 1B and 2B were Rowdy Tellez and Ryan Bliss. This year it's going to be Josh Naylor and Brendan Donovan. Holy hell that's a world of difference. I'm pretty damn ecstatic about the right side of our infield at this point.

Plus, if we get a healthy season from Robles, noice. Love our outfield and this roster.
Like Chapow said, serious upgrades in the infield. I like Williamson a LOT, but offensively, not sure how good he will end up being.

Heck of an upgrade over Eugene! Just need Donovan to be a little healthier more often if at all possible, especially during playoffs.

He is a contact guy with a gold glove, exactly what we needed. We need guys that can get on base at a high rate and rake at the big-league level. Cost us a few prospects, but I will trade prospects for Big League ready allstars all day everyday. Way to go Justin and Jerry!

Hate losing Willy, but if Donovan lives up to his former stats it should work.

A note about "hitting at T-Mobile." Most of the time when I hear that I hear "hard to hit homers at T-Mobile." Numerous guys have hit for average at T-Mobile. Singles and doubles don't care where the fences are for the most part. And what we have needed is guys that hit for average, can get on base and be there when the big boppers come up.

On paper, it looks like a good add.

As Utility Donovan can allow us to develope Young and Emerson. A true leadoff hitter, this will lengthen our lineup. He is also not expensive....a mariners criteria. Ben Williamson, Cjinte, Taj Peete and a comp b pick. We have loads in the minors and Kade (an amazing stroke of luck) A grade from this fan. Hella upgrade from DMo. We got to keep Lazaro Montes whom the Cards were rumored to covet.

Well they did trade the Switch pitching (can't pronounce his name) guy that I was kind of looking forward to seeing.
