Raley was only batting .206 when he got hurt. Wasn't much of a factor this year. Tellez has put up equal numbers to Raley as sad as that sounds. Robles actually had a negative WAR when he went down. They may have played a factor, but by no means they are the total reason. Lots of duds on this roster. Dipoto couldn't spot a bat if he took up spelunking.
It was early yet, you know both would have got it going.

Without Robles and Raley, it wasn't going to look pretty.
Offense was fine without Raley. What happened was Polanco went ice cold and the bottom of the line up stopped hitting. It's last year's offense right now.
Shockingly, Garver has been playing ok as the back up catcher.
In April JP was at the bottom of the line up and the top of the line up was hitting. Even with Julio's slow start it was good enough. But right now it's last year's offense with or without Robles.

I disagree that we are no better with Raley and Robles.

I hope you are right. Raley caught lightning in a bottle last year and it was big for us. Not sure if he can keep that same energy for a full year. Love the guy though.

Robles is a mystery. Top prospect who fell hard then resurrected his career last year with M's after getting released by a bad team. I just don't know which Robles he really is. It looks like we won't find out until at least September.

Well, Taveras has filled in pretty well so far. Performance at the plate is picking up a bit, too. I could live with him as our 3/4th OF when Raley returns.
