Loss on Dan for shitty line up and not bringing Munoz in the 9th. Brash is not a 9th inning guy.

Eh, Brash just picked up 2 saves on the last homestand, and that was the bottom of the O's lineup there in the 9th. Plus, they were tied. Best case scenario there was extra innings. Even if they put in Munoz in the 9th, they were still going to have to put in someone else in the 10th (against the top of the lineup).

Well, that sucks. End of that streak.

Gilbert with 6 innings, and his pitch count wasn't that bad for a change.

Slick how we manufactured the tying runs in the 9th.

Brash had been doing well up til tonight. :(

Dan was trying to do Moore a solid, giving him a chance to do something. Sadly, nothing there. He needs some time in the minors to get his game back. But he has no options. He's an obvious target to get DFA'd when Riley gets back, and definitely when Robles returns.

Munoz has worked 3 or 4 of the last 5 games. Needed the night off.

Garver ain't going anywhere. He's the backup catcher and a decent one. His offensive stats don't mean that much.

I was fine with Brash there. It just didn't work out. If Brash gets out of the bottom of the 9th, then we've got Munoz to close it out if we score in the top half of the 10th.

Agreed. It wasn't a bad decision. Brash is going to get it done against the bottom of the lineup the vast majority of the time. Munoz isn't perfect either.

Canzone is pretty good

He's not as quick or athletic as DMo is in the outfield. On the other hand, DMo is in such a bad place right now, he's just a complete disaster. It's hard to watch. I feel really bad for the guy, but he's unplayable at this point. Just looks like a guy that is completely broken and defeated.

Good point. Very deflated. Defense has never been his issue. He's shockingly bad at the plate this year. Send him down already. Sucks because he's one hell of a good dude too.

Can't send him down directly. He'd have to be DFA'd or outright released, then re-signed to a minor league deal. Plus, it's too late. Minors are almost done with their seasons.

Expanded rosters on Sept. 1. From 26 to 28 spots. There's no reason to play Moore at this point. Robles, Miller and Raley will all be back. Maybe Santos, but not holding my breath. Gotta make room. And I doubt they've ruled out Williamson

He's not a closer. He's been solid for us this year but he's not a closer. M's had a day off Monday if Munoz couldn't go today then his arm is wimpy.

Really need to win tomorrow or they go 1-5 against Baltimore they've sucked all year against the AL east

In this case, he's not wrong. Wilson was shockingly bad yesterday. His decision making is very questionable, often. Not just with the lineup, but how he uses the pitching staff. How many times are we going to see him pull a guy early? Gilbert was at 79 pitches. What kind of message does that send to the rest of the team if you don't even trust Logan fricken Gilbert?
I would never claim to know more than Wilson, but damn, he is not exactly giving me a lot of confidence. There was no reason to pull Gilbert. And there def. was no reason for Garver AND Moore to be in the lineup. Moore couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat at this point.
Enough is enough. I don't need the Wilson loyalty managing style. I need a manager who knows his players, and how to use them. To say he has a quick hook would be a massive understatement.

Crushed by Naylor. Shouldn't have sent him. Also missed a HR by a few feet. He's a hell of a hitter.

Meanwhile, is Suarez actually going to start hitting at some point?

Losing last night sucked, but it was still very encouraging that we tied it up. I thought for sure we would win, then baseball happened. I don’t have any problem with brash being called on. I have no problem with Brash being called on at any time. Plus with Muni the Cat being dehydrated and heat exhausted last night I get why letting him rest, plus maybe we were saving him for the lead…

Anyway we better start scoring some runs today cause losing a game is menh but losing a series is not what we need anymore

Unraveling in the bottom of the 3rd. 3-0 O's. 2 of those runs were walks. 1 scored on a wild pitch and another on a double steal that the M's played really poorly. Gotta make sure the run doesn't score even if it means letting the guy on 1st get to 2nd.

Meanwhile, the bats are MIA for the 3rd day in a row.
