Good on defense, but let's be real here. He hasn't done squat at the plate. But I think it's coming. Seems like Williamson at 3rd and Suarez at DH would be a good option.

Also, the M's are technically in 1st place. They tied the season series, but the M's have a better divisional record.
I'll take it, and go with it.

Three games behind Toronto for the #1 seed, 2 games behind Detroit for the #2 seed. Top 2 seeds get a bye, while seeds 3-6 play best of 3 series.

Winning the division is nice, but it may not be much better than being a wildcard. You want to be the #1 or #2 seed.

Stacking up these wins. And we still haven't seen offense from Suarez. Plus, they are getting Robles and very likely Miller back. Plus Rayley. Stay 🔥

Some serious roster decisions soon.

From Sean Quinton of the Seattle Times:

"As of Tuesday, FanGraphs puts the M’s playoff odds at a staggering 94.4%, while giving them a 9.5% chance to win the World Series. ESPN Bet gives the M’s the third-best odds in baseball to win the World Series (+900, meaning an $100 bet would net $900), behind the Phillies and Dodgers. Meanwhile, after swatting three homers over the weekend, Cal Raleigh is nearly deadlocked with Aaron Judge in odds to win the AL MVP award."

Maybe Vegas knows something.

People keep (correctly) saying that Cal needs days off from catching. Garver is our back up catcher. There's really no getting around putting Garver in the lineup when Cal gets a day off from catching. Also, as far as back up catchers go, Garver has been decent this year.

Moore? Yeah, not sure how you justify that one. Moore is hitting .160 against lefties (and most of that is from much earlier in the season before he fell off a cliff). Canzone is hitting .230 against lefties. I can't even begin to imagine how they came to the conclusion that Moore would be the better option today (or ever).

And let me immediately eat some crow. The was a helluva great catch by DMo in right field. I highly doubt Canzone makes that play.

We take the lead only to immediately give it back.

Would be nice to get this one today as Evans goes for us tomorrow morning.

Just get rid of DMo. Misplays the ball off the wall and then drops an easy foul ball. If he can’t contribute on defense he’s basically useless.
