The fact they couldn't do anything better at first base than Tellez is just...sad. It tells you everything.

They could've.... But they found plenty of used treasure in the dumpster. Who wants good players when you can dumpster dive endlessly every year.

Other than club control.... i don't see why they dont. Cole is young as hell and they did it for him.. but cant for Lock who showed he can hit better than Solano and maybe tellez (Rowdy does like the homers... he reminds me of Zunino... all or nothing)

M's fans having been wanting to see Locklear called up for over a month now. It's been talked about here quite a few times since April.

Yeah, I don't get it either. I feel like they called up Young to early too, and are being stubborn with Locklear who's been solid and didn't look completely overwhelmed when he had his short stint in the bigs before. Would have rather stuck with Dmo at 2nd and called up Locklear than bring up Young and keep the Tellez/Solano experiment going.

This team has to dumpster dive cause no one wants to sign here. Is that cause of the park or management? This team is looked at as a joke I think. Remember when the mariners were pretty bad and we went to play the Yankees and CC Sabathia made some comment about not wanting to be the one who gave up a loss to the mariners?

It is because they offer guys 10 cents on the dollar so they can say they offered him a deal but he went elsewhere. Shift blame for the few fans that still believe their BS.

To be fair.. 26 mil over 6 years aint diddly in the MLB. (FOr Evan White)

12 a year for Haniger as a solid piece wasnt a BAD deal.. also not that much.

Not sure why Castillo and Julio were put into this category one was a determined solid contract.. the other was our future... WHile he may be floundering lately... still a good hedge for years to control.

Its still a business.

Just cause they chose to pay Julio and Castillo so if they will pay there why won’t they pay for more

This is absolutely true and sad.

None were free agents. They won't get into a bidding war so they low ball a guy just to say we tried. But in the end, they always are mid level payroll. So even paying a guy like Foolio doesn't change the game for them payroll wise. And if you haven't noticed, they pick up a fan favorite, pay him good money, then add nothing of quality around him to win. The guy becomes their fan draw for years and business is done. Cash the $80M profit check each year. Same as they did with Felix, then Cano and now Foolio.
