This is absolutely true and sad.



None were free agents. They won't get into a bidding war so they low ball a guy just to say we tried. But in the end, they always are mid level payroll. So even paying a guy like Foolio doesn't change the game for them payroll wise. And if you haven't noticed, they pick up a fan favorite, pay him good money, then add nothing of quality around him to win. The guy becomes their fan draw for years and business is done. Cash the $80M profit check each year. Same as they did with Felix, then Cano and now Foolio.

Foolio just struck out again SWINGING on a pitch that HIT him. SMH. I said it earlier today & have been saying it .... He is the easiest guy to get out. Pitchers literally don't have to throw him a strike. He'll get himself out. I'm tired of him. He needs to be hitting 6th in a real lineup.

No it is about how much. If you spend on real free agents, there would not be money for these idiot players they try to resurrect. I know there are teams that spend less and finish ahead of them, but they also have real GM's. DIPoto can't, and will never, find a diamond in the ruff. And sadly, we need him to find several a year because they don't spend.

But even if we spent, we don't have the right guy spending it. DIPoto had a Top 10 payroll every year with Angels and never won a single playoff series. That is sad.

Foolio has a lower OPS than guys like JP & Dilly. The reason? He has only SIX doubles this year..... SIX. SMH. And only 19 extra base hits. Half of his hits are grounders deep into the hole for infield singles. Cal has more HR's than Foolio has extra base hits & SB combined.

I didn't have those numbers but was saying the same thing at home watching the game. His hits are embarrassing. Infield bs hits like a guy that plays once a week and squeaks one of the end of his bat. His swing is so broken.
