MLB owners needs to stop with this lockout BS.
It’s going to screw up Free Agency and off-season trades if it goes much longer.

The M’s need to be prepared and hit the ground running when FA and trading opens back up.
It would be “so Mariner” to use the lockout as an excuse for not spending $$$ in needed areas roster wise.

Hopefully some heads are pulled out of asses, the sooner the better.

Couldn't agree more. They were off to a decent start, but this sucks big time.

Getting Ray was huge. It needs to continue immediately once this stupid lockout is over.

Today's meeting seems like it may have been somewhat productive, they met for 2 and a half hours which is about the same amount t of time of every other meeting combined. And they've agreed to meet again tomorrow.

Hope this lockout ends soon.

I’ve been part of negotiating teams with the former job/union.

The real negotiations don’t start until both sides feel the pressure of a deadline.

You work on small things like “language” of the contract starting out.

The big issues (usually money) are almost negotiated toward the end.
Once you get the money issues agreed upon there may be some small loose ends that need to be tied up but those usually are not deal breakers.

First two series of the season canceled. And now another irrelevant season….I really have high hopes for 2023

The owners are killing the sport.
I’d hate to work for any teams marketing department once this thing is settled.
I hope those that try and sell tickets are not working on commission.

Lockout is over. Stupid from the beginning.

I hope JD is aggressive as hell starting today in FA.
Failure in this area is NOT an option.

The “Hey, we tried (and failed)” isn’t going to cut it anymore.

Yep it’s nut cutting time for this front office - ownership group. They did great by adding Ray, can’t stop there.
Talk is cheap, now go out and buy some superstars!
GO!
