IT's cheerleading, not pole dancing at a mens club. Who cares? Don';t they have male cheerleaders in college?

My view isn’t a form of homophobia or anything. I’d be fine with nothing else at football games, than just the game. The rest is only there to entertain non fans and get them to the games. I’d also be happy if they got rid of the announcers during games, and just made every broadcast a all 22

As far as the cheerleader thing goes ..... as long they are good at the job and earned their spots, then good for them. If they got on the squad to fill a "missing" element, then its BS. I haven't read anything to suggest that, so I'm going to think they earned it. Nothing to get worked up over

I consider myself to be a social moderate, personally object to the gay lifestyle but regard it as none of my business so long as they stay out of my space, and I don't get all the ruckus this issue has generated. So what if some team has a male cheerleader? We used to have them when I was in high school in the early 70's and no one ever accused them of being gay or promoting the gay lifestyle.

If they were using it as a platform to promote the gay lifestyle, like wearing the rainbow flag or some other means of outward support, I could understand the outrage. But as far as I know, this has not occurred.

Having said that, this was a very poor move by the Vikings management as they should have anticipated the controversy. You want the focus of attention on your team, not the cheerleaders. This is an unnecessary and completely avoidable distraction.

I personally don't get what the commotion is all about. Like was said before me, it's not like they're out there promoting and shoving the gay lifestyle down anyone's throats. It's the media making a scene about it. If they went out there and competed and were the best and most qualified then more power to them. It's not my thing but I still have 48 others I am more than happy to look at when the cheerleaders are on the field.
