I think the short-rest (Being on a Thursday following a Sunday game) played a major role.

The first meeting where they had normal rest, they held Stafford to just 130 passing yards.

It was a total of 249 yards total offense the Defense gave up that was only that much because Kyren had 119 and a TD.

Look for this game to resemble more of the First meeting but without Kyren being as effective, and without Sam tossing freebies to the Rams.
Mike blamed himself and coaches for putting too many wrinkles / complexity into the scheme which coincides with the short week to make a real problem. Since then it feels to me they are dropping into a more protective shell by default more often and limiting the big plays.
As a result teams are having a little more success dinking and dunking (best example is the Colts, Panthers had a little success on a couple of drives doing this too). This burns more clock and keeps point totals down. I expect more of the same Sunday vs the Rams. I don’t see 38-37

I have no reason not to believe you, but do you have a source for that?

To be fair: BOTH teams came off of a short week so you cannot use that as an excuse.

(plus, McVay left our win to go have that baby. Stupid baby. Rams have never been the same again since he went to the hospital after that game).
He should never have gotten pregnant. ya know how that happens now, with guys....right? LMMFAO

Yes:
“I think we felt momentum on some of the things we were doing schematically over the last month and felt we could take a couple easy next steps – the next iteration of what we’ve built. And felt like it wasn’t that taxing on the guys.”
“There are some things where we asked too much of the guys,” Macdonald said. “We’re definitely going to learn from that.”

Let's make Adams go 0-5 in conference championship games.

Afterwards, he can go drown out his sorrows at Taco Bell. :devilish:
