Interesting article about Macdonald's preparation for the draft.

One section that stood out:

"After thanking the team's scouts and giving some big-picture thoughts on his first season as Seattle's head coach, Macdonald then proceeded to give a detailed position-by-position breakdown of the team, one that provided an honest assessment of the roster."

The SI article is just plagiarized from the Seahawks.com article.

Wow, thanks for letting me know. I've updated my post, I don't wanna get websites like that clicks.

A bit of a tangent, authentic journalism is dead these days. It's a shame that you can't just click on an article and trust that you're getting it from the original source. They need to crack down on crap like this, it used to be that "writers" would get punished for stuff like this, it's plagiarism at worst and lazy at best. Perhaps I should've known better. I think it's a good thing that Corbin Smith isn't there anymore.

The communications between coach and scouts is always out of sight to us fans. Nice to see the coach is not just saying, "Give me better players" and is discussing what that means so that everybody is on the same page. It seems obvious some times that this communication is not working well on some teams. ;)

Interesting article about Macdonald's preparation for the draft.

One section that stood out:

"Macdonald, 37, is a strong talent evaluator, so much so that he apparently gave a position-by-position breakdown to members of Seattle's scouting department. He was brutally honest in that breakdown, and scouts loved it."

The below quote is the closest match I was able to find to what you quoted from the article. Wonder if they edited it since you saw it. There is also nothing about his age and him being a "strong talent evaluator."

His "love this sh*t" referenced in the thread title is still there, though!

I originally cited an article from SI, but Hawkstorian pointed out that the original article came from the Seahawks website. I replaced the link, but I haven't changed the quote that came from the SI article. I should probably change that too.
