I don't understand why people want to micro-manage a guy like ML. They want to see him go to the practice facility, although he has NEVER prepared that way before. They want him to go see a doctor ... to do what? The doctors have already done their job. Now, it is ML's turn to do his part the way he has always done. And the only way he knows how to prepare.
It takes special individuals to play RB the NFL. And it takes a more special person to play RB with the violence that ML plays the position. Only ML knows how he gets ready to play and be productive.

Why don't people trust him? I don't get it. I just don't understand it. Have you ever seen him prepare in the off season? NO. But, he has always come back in great shape. And he is getting ready to do the same.

Just trust Lynch.

There is micromanaging, and there is having no actual idea how his recovery is going. Seattle is in the latter category.

I disagree. I would say that the *fans* don't know how his recovery is going, but I'd be astounded if the Seahawks themselves did not. Remember that these are the same trainers that Lynch goes to every off-season and there have been no issues, and from what I could gather from Pete today, the team and these trainers have a history and communication (and trust) that goes back several years.

I won't say it's conventional, and I will admit that I (for one) would feel a bit more comfortable if Lynch could blow some rust off this weekend, but if the team trusts Lynch and his trainers (and they clearly do and there is good past history to do so), then I do as well. It sounds very much like Lynch will be carrying the rock on the first game of the playoffs which is pretty much what I expected all along.

Lynch Out, Okung likely out, Chancellor Out, Bennett banged up, Luke W. still in concussion protocol. Wilson got wrecked last week. Tyler L. is still very sore. Baldwin still has some hammy discomfort.

I wouldn't play one starter in this weeks game. Nothing likely to gain from it if Arizona is playing to win at home and close to full strength. Key players on this team need rest. Either way with the current state of the Hawks it will be a blowout. Might as well play it safe injury wise.
This.

All teams are injured right now. Cardinals are injured. Mathieu just went to IR. Palmer is banged up, Floyd, Brown, Johnson, our Rookie Markus Golden who leads all rookies in QB pressures is banged up. Every team is.

You can't rest every starter however. You have 46 players on Game Day. Let me ask you this. If you rest all 11 starters on offense, and all 11 starters on Defense there is 22 players right there. Your punters and long snappers aren't going to play on your offensive and defensive downs. Your players who miss this game who will be inactive aren't going to play.

So 46 minutes 22 starters is 24. Minus lets say 3 for injuries. 21. Minus 3-5 for special teams only 18-21 players to play the role of 22 players plus the backups? The math doesnt work. The starters will play. They have to.

The NFL needs to increase the roster sizes. My concerns are the same as yours for this game. I wish we didn't have to play starters but the roster size means we will. If this was an NFL preseason game with 90 players sure it would work.

Yes it does, but very unlikely as the owners might have to spend more on player salaries and that would decrease profits that run in the hundreds of millions by what, a few mil? Can't have that now can we?

Baldwin, Lockett, Wilson, Willson, Okung, Bennett, Hill, Chancellor, Sherman, Thomas, Irvin, Wright, Wagner don't have to play or can all play with limited number of snaps. These are the only guys I'm concerned about.

The Vikings rolled in there with a ton of injuries and should have won. Fine if you want to rest starters but a loss is not a forgone conclusion

Not sure how everyone else feels. But I'm not feeling very confident about Lynch being ready for the playoffs.

I am of the mind that if Lynch didn't think he'd be ready for the playoffs or the team didn't think he'd be ready, we'd put him on IR. The fact that he's not in IR says a whole lot about the chances for his return.

If they thought he would be ready for NFC championship and Super Bowl would they IR him?

I bet not. So him not being on IR only means they think he would be ready for Super Bowl..... Could be weeks before or not

Unofficial word has it that Mama Lynch has been cooking up a soup and salad luncheon every Monday and only Bev has been invited to chart the progress of Marshawn and bring him up to speed with the progress of the offense. Cable was upset that he wasn't invited, so uttered his famous "he'll have to fit in to our offense" diatribe in disgust.

There you go again...honking on bobo!

According to Azim, Lynch's recovery is right on track to return to the Seahawks for the playoffs, where he hopes to help push the team toward a third consecutive Super Bowl berth.

Seahawks can still go in and won this game. They haven't been blown out in years so I don't expect one here either.

As far as specifics on Lynch's recovery, Azim says on the first day he showed up at Empower to begin rehabilitation, the two of them sat down and created a plan to help him maximize his physical ability while also giving him the mental stability he needed to come back from surgery.

The result has been Azim and Lynch working together non-stop, sometimes for 8 to 10 hours a day, to make sure he's in peak condition when he returns to the Seahawks.

Need to get Mini Beast to see this guy to get a NFL body on him, Lynch always comes in a good shape, if he is working that hard I hope he doesn't over work himself. Pete said in one interview they trust his trainer and what he does. MMA they work on core really hard I imagine and that's what Lynch needs and then general conditioning.

That's not so far-fetched. I can definitely see Bev getting a contract extension with the way Pete vociferously denied BYU access to him. I'd be fine with that.

What has Lynch done as a Hawk to question his toughness or ability to get in game shape?
