Interesting comparison... 3 prospects vs 6 players, 3 of whom are starters
Yeah, not the same at all. Washington made out. San Diego? We'll see. They're chasing the Dodgers, so good luck to them.

On another note, does the Soto to SD move make San Fran and Colorado sellers now, and do they have some bats we could snag? Or maybe a reliever? A few hours left.

Anyone saying that we could have gotten Soto is kidding themselves. We didn’t have much of a chance here.

Gore is the #10 ranked prospect.
Abrams is #15 ranked prospect.
Hassell is #21 ranked prospect.
Wood is on the back end of the top 100.

I think equivalent would be us giving up Marte, Kelenic, Kirby or Hancock, and Ford.

Don’t think we really ever had a chance, unless Dipoto was willing to unload almost everyone.

I was looking at the negative trade value with Hosmer included in the deal. But it looks like Hosmer nixed the deal and is now with the Redsox picking up a bunch of salary.

Would rather of had Soto than Castillo but maybe there is a better chance to keep Castillo long term.
