Nah, I'm laughing. A lot. He's 4-1 against Seattle. Until that number evens out a little I wouldn't laugh too hard.

TimingThey chose him over the choke artist we paid.
I really think elite has to do with being able to take over in the closing seconds. This is why I didn’t trust Geno and also why I used to really trust Russell. Do you remember early in his career when you had that feeling of when Russ gets the ball back at the end we’re gonna win? I used always believe he would get it done, but Russ eliteness got off track when the whole cooking thing started. It’s also a funny juxtaposition because Russ is elite in the last seconds but overall you wonder what the heck he’s doing. Almost like GeNo between the twenty’s=russ in the redzoneWhat is elite? An elite do things the greats can't? Like what? How to measure eliteness? Anyone care to educate ole toffee?
Can an elite QB add 7 points a game? or 3 points? ok, not points, how about 3 additional wins a season? or 2, or 1? Would the cost of having that elite cost the team a few good players? Would the sacrifice of not having those few good players cost 1 game a season? or 2? or 3?
Can one of you smart people educate ole toffee?
Nicely said!! I, however, use wins to define elitism.I really think elite has to do with being able to take over in the closing seconds. Eagles are the best and Jalen hurts is the best leader but not the best qb. Pure qb talent I think I like Matt staffordThat’s not saying much most of the elite QBs are in the AFC. Who is considered the best in the NFC? Jalen Hurts?, Jayden Daniels?, Jared Goff?
Yes, wins are seriously important to being elite. Nothing else matters but getting the W at all cost. That’s true eliteness. Sometimes eliteness isn’t visible until the last second and the greatest of the great start shining as they take the game on their back. The difference between elite and geno is between the ears and only between the earsNicely said!! I, however, use wins to define elitism.
I guess going down the field to score in the last seconds to take the L is prolly not elite… I think that’s called garbageNicely said!! I, however, use wins to define elitism.
No, but you damn sure need more than 23 wins at least.Do you have to have a Super Bowl win to be qualified to be called elite?
Can a 1st year quarterback be elite? No, but you damn sure need more than 23 wins at least.
I wouldn't call Jayden Daniels elite yet. He's off to a good start, though. Can a 1st year quarterback be elite?
I’m just trying to figure out some ground rules
He's the best QB in the NFC. If he's not elite, there arent any in the conference.
I think purdy is a very smart and capable quarterback all he lacks is that killer instinct in the last minutes of the game, but I admit my opinion is only based on the few games of his I’ve watched. I think that end of the game stuff is what sets players apart. Often the games seem even all the way but then there’s those few players who in the final minutes or seconds just refuse to lose and go off script or do it themselves and always find a way to win. I have never felt like purdy was the best player on the field and was gonna take the game in his own hands to win it. Like Mahomes or Jackson or Allen, or Larry Fitzgerald or marshawn lynch. Honestly there was a time where I would take Russell over Purdy at the end of the game.Purdy does basically everything at a high level. Obviously there's division rival bias here, but I think a lot of the ripping on him is lazy analysis assuming he's not talented because he was drafted so late.
And this is the last fan base that should be stuck in the idea that a player can't be great if they have a good team around them. Look how many advantages Russell Wilson had. I'm sure any QB would have been thrilled to have had the kind of defense that only allows eight points to a record-setting offense in the Super Bowl. Fans so ardently come to Kam Chancellor's defense in any HOF talks. How many defensive "stars" have been in a more perfect situation than he was, having one of the greatest cover safteys ever to pick up his slack, in addition to Richard Sherman being a generational coverage guy, and having Bobby Wagner in front of him. Hell, none of those LOB guys were doing it on their own. That team as a whole had very few players with anything resembling the same level of success outside of Seattle.
Sometimes good players are good. Having good teammates doesn't take from that.
