I honestly don't know how they settle this. You can't move Wagner out of MLB if he's available. Bruce flashed a ton at SAM today. Malcolm is probably the best fit at WLB. KJ is an excellent linebacker in every respect...

Such a tough call.

Yes...what a difficult dilemma! Having awesome back-ups is a PITA!

we have the elements in place for a more standard 3-4.

Only problem is, our freaking Dline is beast as hell too.

Clemons,Bennett,Avril,McDaniel,Bryant,Mebane,McDonald

Wagner,Wright,Smith,Irvin,Schofield,Morgan

That's a whole lot of talent right there.

I thought Wright got kinda worked tonight. His lack of speed kept showing up and cost us both yards and stops. I'm very happy he didn't win the MLB job at any point, I don't think he can cover enough ground for it. I could maybe forgive the speed if he wasn't slipping at bad times or consistently failing to take good angles. No defender has made me pull my hair out more this season than Wright, and tonight was not one of his better offerings. So far this year, he's been making a few nice plays that help us forget all the extra yards he's been directly accountable for.

I still think that as a SAM, he can be pretty useful. But the way Smith and Irvin are playing, I think Seattle is a better team with Wright on the bench when Wagner returns.

Kinda stole my thunder, except I think it is possible they could platoon a little bit, as I still like KJ against the run.

When looking at the LB corps you can kind of see that "one of these things is not like the others." Wright has limited range and it has shown a lot this year. He's been attacked. Smart player who's length really helps him. Good a a traditional 4-3 backer on the LOS or off, but that's kind of his only niche. I don't think he'll be retained when the time comes. We'll opt for more speed.
