People ask me sometimes why I like Pete Carroll so much. After all, he's just a football coach. It's not like he's saving the world. Except, in his own way, he is--or at least he's trying to do so, which is more than I can say for many people, including myself. I admire Pete because I wish I were more like him. I wish I had his positive attitude and energy. I wish I were even 1/1,000th as fearless in life as he. I'm not. I may never be, but he makes me believe that even if I can't achieve that, I might just achieve SOMETHING more than I thought I could. I admire him because he's a teacher of not only football players, but of anyone willing to listen. And teachers are some of the most important people we have in this world.

And yeah, he's a pretty damned good football coach too. Go Hawks!

He's a good man. And he's rockin that white suit! I'm always surprised when I hear that he's the 2nd oldest head coach in the NFL. Definitely seems younger then his age.
