It’s going to be a very loud hostile crowd, so I think the keys to win are this:

1- Be aggressive on offense and defense.
2- Get rid of the ball quickly to neutralize their past rush
3- Pass the ball much more than rushing the ball as the lions have the sixth ranked rushing defense
4- Blitz Goff
5- Limit penalties (this is every week)

Geno needs to get the ball out quick. Don't stand back there and absorb sacks as per usual. Use the athleticism you have at your disposal.

Try to establish a running game with whomever we have out there healthy. We don't need a one dimensional offense.

Continue to attack on defense. Don't look like the Giants last night, standing around. Fly to the ball and continue to play sound defense with exceptional tackling.

Throw in a trick play. Lord knows the Lions will.

Yes, and don't forget to shave your tits.

Get an early lead and add on. I’m concerned about the Hawks’ run defense against the Lions’ rushing attack, so if Seattle can take the lead and keep scoring, I think Detroit would have to lean more on its passing game, which would benefit Seattle’s D. Want to avoid allowing them to wear down the DL and linebackers with long, rush-heavy drives.

Gotta make the Lions play more run defense than pass rush against our atrociously awful offensive line….

If Seattle allows the Lions to get into a rhythm with Hutchinson, it might be game over for Seattle.

Likewise, Seattle, needs to effectively run the ball against a very stout defensive line if Seattle wants to play control the tempo and still be able to catch the secondary of the Lions off guard in single man coverage.

Brian Branch is their big hitter in the secondary and he’s hurt and their All-Pro center is hurt, so, Seattle needs to strike while the iron is hot.

Seattle’s run defense has some hiccups, and I personally think if New England had continued to run the ball with Stevenson, Seattle, may have lost that game.

The Lions will definitely establish or try to run as much as possible and Seattle needs to fix their vulnerable run defense cause there are times Seattle could have given up major runs so it’s still a bit of a weakness for Seattle first and second level defense…

I know this might sound crazy , but if there was a game where Seattle could benefit from having 325 lb Jonathan Hankins in the middle, this would be the one. Don't see Detroit gashing us Monday.

Hoping Williams and Murphy are healthy enough to play. Detroit leads the league in running back usage. We will need them to slow their running attack and make Goff pass. Through 3 games Goff has a QB rating of 34.4 with 4 INT's. Geno needs to continue his mostly above average play. He has a current QB rating of 69.8. Metcalf and JSN need to play smart and exploit the great defensive matchups they will have. Charbonnet picking up the blitz will be a key.

Murphy will be out 2-3 week minimum. Williams didn't practice so he will likely be out as well.
We need to start getting healthier. We need some guys back. We're a couple more key injuries away our season getting completely de railed.

Detroit has injuries as well. I think the Lions are going to try to play power football, beat us up and keep Geno and co. off the field.

It's cool that Seattle is in the first real "showdown" of the season . We complain about East coast bias (rightly so) but this game is being talked about.I am freaking pumped to see how MM has the team prepared , regardless of who's able to go.

The Lions are a really good team that came close to making it to the SB last season. They're not facing Pete's version of the defense or Waldron's offensive genius.

Spot on Morg. This team is much better than the Pete/Waldron mix. Which was hard to dance to.

Hawks will compete - and I am cautiously predicting victory. Slim victory - but a victory none the less.

I like the fact MM has butt punched Detroit the previous season. They do have some great players on offense plus that DE and a young hungry defensive backfield but the biggest advantage they'll have is home field.

If Seattle loses , it'll be because of their offensive line

A little bit of this, and a little bit of that...

...or just keep getting that OL worked out. Whatever is working, just keep doing more of that. Make sure that DL is ready to go with all that beef banged up. Otherwise, keep chugging along. 3-0 for a reason.
