dude what? dude is ancient. RBs have a VERY VERY, VERY short shelf life. Get a fresh one from the draft or a UDFA. it's just not a position that warrants much worry. How many RB do we have on the roster now? 7? Way down the list of priorities. We need CB's, edge rushers and O line. The kid we got from GB IS a steam roller. highest YPC of backs with over 100 carries. GREAT pick up.
Nice post BanditHawk,
That article is clickbait and we are not a dumping ground for has-been players.
I highly agree we should not be worried about RB and will need to find multiple CB's to start the season, plus edge rushers and hopefully a RG. With slim draft ammo I wouldn't worry about the RB position until day 3, UDFA or even wait for the preseason cuts.
I am excited about the amount of good CB's & edge rushers in the top 100 of this draft.
I think McIntosh will be ready week 1 and Charbs somewhere from week 4/6 to mid season.
I think losing K9 is going to be very positive for our run-game and it's only partially about $.
It has to do with less 3rd & long and more 3rd & short situations, more redzone opportunities, TOP, keeping Stafford & Purdy off the field and TD's vs field goals.
I'm not saying all of the above was K9's fault but much of the reason Jason Myers broke the NFL scoring record (206 pts, 41 FG's) was the inability to run the ball near or in the red zone.
We don't need a game breaker, we need 3 guys that can keep a solid 4 yardish average up and convert on 3rd & short/goal.
The Chiefs are now saying with KWlll that Mahomes won't have to play so much hero ball.
Well good luck with all of those 2nd, 3rd & long downs while tinkering with your new toy. I'm pretty sure that would still be considered "hero ball."
