I've gone back and forth on Ken Walker.

I have now picked a side. I don't think it's the best business decision to re-sign Walker to a contract north of $10m. I think he's worth the money but there are a few reasons why I'm leaning towards letting go.

1) It's a really good F.A running back class. I think Tyler Allgeier is the perfect storm to sign on a 2 year contract. He's not going to cost the most money. I think his market is probably close to DeAndre Swift or Tony Pollard of around $7m. He might even be cheaper than that.

2) I've come to the realization that Walker stayed healthy this season because Charbonnet split carries with him. Do I want a really expensive RB just so I can split carries with so I can keep him healthy? Allgeier at $6m-$7m is much more bearable to split carries with in my opinion.

3) I want to double down in the draft and pick up another explosive RB. Charbonnet is in his walk-year and will be recovering from his injury. Get the hedge in Allgeier and double down with Jadarian Price or Mike Washington Jr.

I don't hate your logic. At all. I was just doing some quick research and Allgeler hasn't turned the ball over in over 600 carries?

Fact is, Charbs is gonna miss time. Fact is, K9 is fresher when he splits reps. No guarantee that we don't end up without BOTH of them early in the season if K9 gets injured before Charbs comes back.

I have come to this conclusion, IT'S NOT MY MONEY, first, second, John has had one of the best cost management records in the league, he figures it out. He also seems to have great feelings for who will sign where and who we can get on a prove it contract that most times out play it. Where I like Hall as a number two there is also Gainwell who is reasonable at running and can catch. He will be a cheaper addition as well.

From what I heard, Jeremiah Love is the best but then a huge drop-off after him.

So he definitely won't be there at #32 anyway.

Best to focus on CB or EDGE, and re-sign K9.
I've heard Notre Dames other RB is really good as well but isn't getting the praise as he was in Love's shadow. Could be an option.

For the record, I do NOT think K9 is a Seahawk in 2026.
Sadly, I think you may be right which is why we may have to sign a Breece Hall or Etienne.

I don't think the RB we need will be found at #32 in this draft.

He is supposed to be good, different style, he's a wait for the hole guy not a make your own hole type, can catch and all, actually if he can do that depending on ability to wiggle when attempted to tackle will be more a power runner then K9.
