This season will have a lot to do with what the Seahawks are willing to pay him...obviously. We, realistically, don't know how much patience the new coach will have if history repeats itself with some lapses in judgement. He has a lot of value on his current deal, both to the Seahawks or as a trade next off-season. JS has to figure out which value is higher. JSN having a 5th year option may allow DK to stay in Seattle that much longer. At some point though, it'll be tough (not impossible, but I just don't see it) to pay them both their market value simultaneously. If that's the odds-on expectation, timing could play out any of the next few off-seasons even with an extension..
