FA signed, draftees practiced. Where are you at on the season, and why?

I predict 11. We could literally be anywhere from 0-17. We have no clue how the offense will perform and when it will click if it all. I suspect it will but it's a such a guessing game.

Under 8. Sorry, but I can see this team mirroring what happened to the Bears last season. I think the offense will be ok at the start of the season, but once opponents have seen it and there are 1 or 2 injuries it'll be a hard slog. 3-2 after 5 but 6-11 for the year.

We do know, though, our defense will at least be top 10, that's the consensus. Our offense? We've addressed the root causes of OL issues, signed a new pro bowl QB, and even improved our OC! The top-15 offense ought to be the floor.

Ask yourself, a team with top 5 defense and top 10 offense, 13 wins minimum?

Our top 10 to top 5 defense will keep games close for our OC to make adjustments?

While I agree with you on the defense and the offense could be top 10. Does it click for the offense week 1? week 6? week 11 like the defense did last year? at all? Those remain to be unseen for me.

If it clicks week 1, with this schedule I say 13 wins. If it doesn't at all I say 4 wins. I think the offense will start to click around week 4 or 5, at least see glimpses of it more consistently so that's how I came up with 11 wins. That and I threw a dart at a dartboard and that's what it landed on.

Sure, but what offensive adjustments can you make if you don't have any favourable personnel match-ups? If the offense scores 320 - 340 points the Seahawks will be really close to being a good team. Unfortunately the 2024 standings suggests the win total for a team that scores 320 - 340 points will be 6 wins or less. Score 380+ points and it's a totally different story. On paper this offense lacks difference makers. Milroe, Arroyo, and 1 of the unheralded skill player rookies could develop into being really good. Add another IOL and skill player and the Seahawks could be serious contenders in 2026. This season is just too early.

I tried to guess. I really did. Our offense is just too iffy at present for me. I think our defense will be stingy and keep us in most games, but I don't have a clue as to whether or not our offense can win enough of the close ones to make us a playoff team.

I can see this team easily making 13 or 14 wins this year. The New OC knows Darnold. His staff knows what OL men need to do and they know how to teach it. We have the RBs that can really shine in a wide zone scheme. And our WRs are going to keep other defenses on their heels. You match that with a top 10 to top 5 defense and boom... Winners!

I voted 8 wins.

The defense will be great. Our schedule is filled with eak teams. We improved the offence's coaching and Zabel has to be an update over Tomlinson.

But Darnold and Kupp are no replacement for Geno and DK. The OL should be better but there is only so much the new coaching staff and scheme can do to improve Hayne, Olu, Bradford, etc... We'll be lucky if our OL ranking improves to 22nd or higher. Darnold will be under pressure most games.

Plus Kubiak's scheme is not new (many teams run versions of it) and a lot of defenses have it figured.

I think our defense will keep most game close but our offense will struggle to score. Wouldn't be surprised that we lose more games we should have won than win games we should have lost.

12 or 13 wins from me.

I see zero reason why the schedule (being what it is ahead of us) can't result in 11 wins (minimum) with Darnold helping to win a few more himself.
