I get the separation thing, but I'm not even looking at that. That's setting a bar for failure and putting that position in a box. It's stating that every game, x player needs to get x amount of yards of separation on every play no matter the circumstance (all while getting 1000 yds and 15 tds by seasons end as WR3 to fullfil .net standards, haha).

He's catching almost everything thrown at him (75% catch rate) and almost averaging a first down in the process. I don't think I can care about how far away a defender is away from him, that's just me though. I think balling out in the new system, against whatever defense he goes against is enough.

No care ever how it gets done, know your role, and do your job (this goes for every position, lol).

TLDR: JSN has been covered, but is tearing it up anyway. Sorry that got ranty/long quick.

I love JSN and want him to be the best receiver ever. He is on a stacked offense. There is only 1 ball to go around. He is doing what is asked of him and making the most of his opportunities. He is going to get even better and the stats people want him to get. Patience.

you quoted some dude off twitter that's using fantasy stats? JFC. Can you guess who leads the Seahawks in receptions? its JSN. He's 4th amongst ALL NFL receivers on 3rd down conversions. Again, I have to question what exactly it is that you are watching.
I posted that, actually.

And it isn't the only one I posted.

The topic is separation. The OP specifically mentioned separation. I have no idea why people are so pissed and threatened by this.

Now you know how it felt to have to pound guys over the head with Geno's excellency as it was blindly denied.

Frustrating, ain't it?

the original post was "My personal observation, but that guy, just doesn't seem to get open very much.. anyone else see that?" which is provably inaccurate since he's the leading receiver on the team and leads the team in 3rd down conversions. All while being WR3 and at just starting his 2nd season. I thought it was sarcasm for quite a bit it was such an insane take.

Yeah, your right, I could have rephrased it better.. Like Downfield, beyond 5 to 10 yards. I just never considered considering short 5 yard slants or dumps as meaningful to a highly touted receiver as JSN. I pretty much felt any of the receivers would be good at taking a dump off pass if needed. Now, thanks to you and others, I realize that those short 5 to 10 yard passes are a thing.

And just like that, I realize I need to spend much less time here at Seahawks net.
