4 games into his 2nd season. Yeah, I'm gonna' go ahead and wait a long while before I start assuming someone is a bust. Clearly, I'm watching a different player.

So be it.

Just because we're cool doesn't mean I won't disagree with you when I think you've gone too far. Same with anyone else here.

All I'm saying is that big accusations or even putdowns have to come with a lot of supporting data to make that vitriol somewhat warranted.
The arrogance and self importance is strong here 😂😂😂

Having an opinion on a player doesn't make someone self-important. It's an opinion. On a message board.
Having someone talk to you like they're your dad is annoying af. Every time.
We get it already, smartest guy in the room, at all times.

Dang, I better do my chores, so I don't get grounded :ROFLMAO:

I understand and respect what you're saying here. Im not sure about some statistics
that are collected and fed to us the For example what MM was saying about sack numbers and what they meant in the grand scheme. I can't speak to JSN specifically, like others on .NET, I see a young man playing his 4th game of his second year . He was actually injured at the beginning of last season ( I think) and some say a pro WR takes 2-3 seasons to "get it". I don't know if I agree but there are a lot of examples at various positions. (See Derek Hall)

I think he'll become a bigger part of the offensive plans as time goes on and he'll be what the fans envisioned him being.

I have problems with the other WRs on the team other than Njigba but I'll keep this on subject. I like the fact we can come here and respectfully discuss different takes and not get silly with each other. What we have to say is important but it's equally important how we say it.

Good day Sir,

I think some apologies are in order. It is absolutely *not* just the OP noticing this.

I don't think this means JSN is bad or anything. I think he's savvy, agile, and has a special knack for hauling in the tough/clutch/low probability catches - but he absolutely is not separating this year like he did last year.

The thing that baffles me is how no one even bothered to try to investigate whether or not OP was onto something. They just basically called him a stupid dickhead in nicer words without so much as researching where that perception might've come from.

That's disappointing, man.

@Bobblehead One hell of an eye, man. I think there's something to what you're seeing.

To quantify this, his target separation last season was 2.32 yards. This season, it's 1.88 yards. It's worth noting both of these numbers are still very good.

My hunch is that this has more to do with the scheme than JSN. Seattle was near the top of the league in play-action last year and is near the bottom now. JSN feels like a McVay-style receiver who benefits from misdirection to gain more separation.

The inverse is true for DK. His separation has increased under Grubb: 1.34 (2023) to 1.75 (2024). The sample is still small, though.

Seems like making a lot out of a little. So now JSN isn't a good WR? He can't get open? Bust? Having a bad year?
That's how some of these comments read TO ME. Not saying that it's the right or wrong opinion, just seems really fricken odd that JSN is now a problem on this team.

Ok............

3.....2.....1........flaming incoming, as usual.

I bet this team falls apart. They just don’t have any talent. We just act like they do when they play teams with awful QB’s. You’ll see. In 6 weeks you’ll see what we saw tonight.

I honestly think MM is going to cut a ton of players next year. And possibly John will be released.

Why stop there?

I think you'll see that at the end of the season, the NFL and the 31 other teams' ownership groups will vote unanimously to kick the Seahawks out of the league permanently. And they might even pay somebody to blow up Lumen Field.

Schneider and Allen might even end up imprisoned, along with well over half the Seahawks' current roster and coaching staff.

My observation is the EXACT opposite. He seems to be able to find wrinkles in the defense and gets open more than anyone else. I have no idea what you are wat

Thanks .. just watch the replays and watch his routes..I think there's a reason Geno goes elsewhere.

You can find seaside Joe online and subscribe. He has some decent articles

Thanks. I remember when that dude was the editor of the Seahawks fan site with the stupid-ass name (the one that's part of SB Nation), back when I still frequented that site and didn't know about .NET.

EDITED to add: anyone else who can't (or doesn't want to) see Xitter can see what I'm guessing must be the item mentioned in the xit above by clicking here.

EDITED AGAIN to add: oopsie... part of the article is paywalled for people who want to subscribe to Seaside Joe for $5 per month. I'm not quite there, but the part I could see was actually quite a bit better than the first Seaside Joes when he first started and it was just a free mailing list. If his stuff had been this good back then, I might not have unsubscribed and I might have ended up as a paid subscriber by now.

JSN has been OK

But he was supposed to be the best receiver in his draft. I mean wasn’t he the first one picked? Right now he is not. Not even close.
