Sam with the no look pass as well on that play.

I had no clue Sam wasn't looking there. 🤯

That's something the Media idiots are always slobbering over Stafford's..uhh..."Staff"...about.

Of course Burkhardt and Brady completely miss this and focus more on JSN's one-hander.

Great catch and I don't want to take anything away from JSN, but with the types of gloves receivers wear nowadays, those one-handed catches are commonplace like never before.

Years ago, I remember seeing the great Kenny Easley being interviewed on the topic of Steve Largent, and he was talking about the catch Odell Beckham made with one hand behind his head, and Easley said, and I'm paraphrasing: "If Largent played with the gloves they have today, he would have caught that (Beckham's behind the held catch) with one finger"

A bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point.
Why dont I see catches like that everyday?

JSN can take the hardest hit…and bounce right up simply because he doesn’t want anyone to think that someone got ‘the best of him’.

The hit he took on that long pass up the middle would’ve sidelined most players. What does JSN do? Jumps right up…screams in the defenders direction…and walks right back into the huddle like he didn’t just complete a game breaking catch.

Stud. Ohio State guy (my squad too).

JSN is my favorite player ever….took a lot to dethrone my other guys (Largent, Easley, Marshawn, Alexander, Kam). But, this kid is absolutely spectacular.

How do you lead the league in reception yards…on the team that throws the least? That fact alone….cmon man.

Best receiver in the league.

Stanford’s numbers are incredible.

Much better than Sam’s. Puka has Stafford throwing to him. I’m not knocking Sam.

I’m saying that the receiver who some folks put ahead of JSN has the likely MVP throwing him the ball.

Foh…JSN all day!

Much better for the season, not in this game. Their numbers were almost identical.

Exactly how does that pass by Darnold qualify as a "no look" pass? Same had his eyes locked on JSN and, under pressure, threw a perfectly placed ball that could only be caught by his receiver, which happened to be the only receiver who could likely catch that particular pass.

I never said that they happen every day. I said that they are commonplace like they never were before.

I didn't take the time to count them all, and not all of them are one handers like JSN's, but here's a YouTube video of some one-handed catches in the 2025 regular season. There's 12.5 minutes of them at about 15 seconds per catch, and that's just at midseason:

Like I said, I'm not taking anything away from JSN's spectacular catch. He not only had to catch it with one hand, but he also had to balance it so as to keep the ball from moving even slightly or they couldn't have concluded that he had control of it as he was going out of bounds. My point is that the gloves has changed everything as far as receiving goes. It physically wasn't possible for receivers like Largent to do bare handed that which receivers wearing those gloves do nowadays.

It wasn't a no-look pass but his head was continously facing forward in an effort to fool the defender 'cause if his head was turned toward JSN's direction, the defender would've lunged his hands in that direction to bat the ball away.
