There does appear to be a delineation between McDonald and the other guys that have gotten hammered recently in that McDonald hasn't been charged yet. Have I missed any of the recent cases where this is not consistent in terms of being cut, placed on a special list, or deactivated?

No.

Perhaps Roethlisberger, but all of the facts were present and there was a police report AND it was several months after the incident (IE more time to work out what happened).

The charges against Rainey when he was at Pitt were dropped by the prosecutors.

Though in college, I'm pretty sure he pled to a misdemeanor stalking charge.

I can really not think of any other feasible explanation of why a woman would be out in the yard with a gun. Okay, so back in May in another fight McDonald's pregnant girlfriend got a gun, cocked it, and held it up to her stomach/womb. He called 911 but she had fled by the time the police arrived, and the case wasn't pursued.

This doesn't tell us a damn thing about what happened in August, but their relationship sounds like a mess.

Initial report is certainly complete. They don't finish an investigation before filing an arrest report.
