RMac's girl is not going to cooperate. about 80 percent of domestic abuse victims don't.

Off topic...but Kieth Reaser of the 49ers just put this up on Twitter. I thought it was interesting.

True, but she's also the one who called 9-11, meaning she's much more likely to cooperate than the typical suspected victim of DV. And it might not matter. They were a ton of people there, including wives and girlfriends. If this is a clear case it's practically gift wrapped for the D.A. in a way DV almost never is: the victim made the 9-11 call which case be used as evidence, they've got photos and more witnesses there (including women) than anyone could ask for, etc.

This was a 49er player party, right? Why would the wives and girlfriends of 49er players rat out a 49er starter when their husbands claim to have seen "nothing." BTW, this is not the first time police have responded to a "disturbance" at the McDonald residence.

Given the Cardinals' stance on Jonathan Dwyer, Marvin really should've sat this one out.

I think by "players" and "husbands" (both plural) you mean Vernon Davis, who went home before anything happened (and also FWIW isn't married). No other players have commented on it because it's an ongoing investigation.

In any case, my point was that most DV incidents happen behind closed doors, they're He Said/She Said cases at best, and way more frequently than not they're He-Said/She-Won't-Say cases.

This case is less likely to be that because 1) it was the potential victim who made the call herself and 2) there was a ton of people around, including other women. If there really were 50-75 other people there the idea that all of them are going to perjure themselves is magical thinking.

In any case, my point was that given some of these particularities, if he did it he's more likely than the typical defendant to be convicted of it, which any reasonable person should want.

It's the only decent thing to do . . . unless you are head of the 49er' propaganda ministry.
