That's where you are wrong.

The Hawks don't need Cable to have a successful run game. We DO need to get rid of Cable in order to improve our pass-pro.

Lynch is still lynch. Without a decent OL we might not be able to say the same thing about a little guy named Russell Wilson.

The Jets GM job is actually a pretty good position now. They have plenty of cap room, pick #6 overall, a few decent RFAs that could lead to additional picks, and a bunch of winnable games on the schedule next year. Idzik never had his choice of coach and the new GM probably will (negotiable). Kirchner and Quinn would be a pretty good combo and they could sign guys like Maxwell and Williams in FA to shore up their defense.

This is why Idzik needs to sit back this year - do TV or something else, let the Jets look greatly improved next year then pound the drum on how he fixed the fundamental issues and get picked up as GM somewhere else.

Doubtful. The run-first approach is Carroll's, not Cable's. I highly doubt there will be any massive change in philosophy.

Additionally, Lynch has not made his yards all by himself. That OL has been doing wonders in the run-blocking department.

I believe Quinn will be gone after this year. A team will pick him right away knowing what he did last year and this year. That's a good enough resume for them.
