What is the status of JJ? Is he out for the season or will he make it back for any of the playoffs for potential SB? He is a stud on Special Teams and it would be good to have him back on the field.

IR'd a few weeks ago after all the DB shuffling with suspensions.

DeShawn Shead is the new back up SS.

I'm not a big fan of Johnson. I think there is no drop-off at all with Shead and Shead has higher upside. Non issue.

Seriously but how can you make that call? Have you really seen enough of either to make thst strong of a call?

I like Johnson but I'll agree, he's more gamer than athletic freak although I believe he could be a solid vet starter for a lot of teams. To bad Earl and Kam are sitting in front of him.

Jury is still out on Shead, I like what I've seen so far though.

Johnson hasn't been healthy all season, it's easy for people to forget what he brings.

Dude makes plays on ST, does very well in the packages that put him in with the defense. It's not that he's some important cog to the defense, but he's not a scrub.
