I am not as disappointed in Forsythe as i thought i was going to be. He did well against Miami and was not the problem on the line. That being said until Stone has a serviceable RG next to him he is going have to try and do to much. That is what causes guys to get hurt or dinged up. I don't know what the issue is with Haynes but he cant be worse than Bradford. Haynes looked like just what we need at RG during training camp and the pre-season, and if he can play at the level to make him a serviceable RG it will help Stone and make his job easier and thus more protection form that side of the line.

Peters wouldn't come in because Forsythe is a problem, but because if Forsythe were to go down it would be a gigantic problem.

I read this development as further negative news about Lucas, and if so then we absolutely need to add tackle depth somehow.

I think his point was that it's pathetic we're in this position in the first place. Years of not prioritizing the Oline is how it happens.
Yeah, I agree that it's pretty pathetic now. That reply was from last year when the prospect of adding Peters to help get us through injury was a newer idea.

Meh, even at 42 Jason Peters is a better OT than most playing in the NFL.

If the team sees a need to add him that doesn't bode well for Lucas or Fant returning in the short term. Seems to me they are just being proactive at a position that has caused depth problems for the last 2 seasons.

Finding players with any true ability at either OT spot is certainly not an easy find. I suspect he will be added to the PS in the next 24 hours.

Bunch of folks in here slamming Stone have clearly not seen how last week's grades turned out.
Stone, just like last year, was awful in the game Abe was injured and looks better when he's got week to prepare for being the starter.
Tomlinson is a problem.
Williams is still getting his bearings.
And, Bradford? He's the biggest cottamn problem on this line.
But I get it. It's easy to pick on the guy everybody else is who haven't studied up on the teams performance.
He did play better than before
