This isn't something new for him. He misses or makes them in streaks and has for years. If it is correctable you would think he would have solved the problem a long time ago. But I kind of forgive him whenever he hits those 58 and 60+ yarders.
I hope he does well . It just sucks when Seattle loses by a point .

An extra point .

True that. And I predicted that exact scenario in Aros' Titans game score thread. That is how dependably he pulls this off. On the other hand he is also a good bet to hit the really long attempts. Mindboggling that he can do that and still miss the gimmees where he is nearly kicking from between the uprights.

Pete screwed us out of post season play for years by not valuing the kicker. Blair Walsh? Really? Then the used up former Raider. They should have paid Haushka.
I would agree on Hauschka, but I think they would've paid him if they didn't see something wrong with him. He did fall off a cliff shortly after leaving Seattle. Had a problem with extra points - went only 82% on them in his last year here. He was having issues with trajectory and kicking them too low IIRC.

Be that as it may, he still would have been better than his replacements.

Pete had a problem with being flippant about some things, and always getting burned by his lack of attention to detail.

I didn't see us having that problem with Mike (I'll be forever Mackin') Macdonald

My favorite example was Pete being asked about his players being affected by the heat and humidity in San Diego. Pete replied: "They have to play in it too!"

Yes Pete, and I spent most of my life in areas of Alaska that regularly hit -45f in the winter, and sometimes -65f. Anybody should be able to work outside in those temperatures if I can.

I'll never forget seeing assistant coaches holding 4' x 8' white boards over our players heads for shade, the never ending IVs for Seahawks players in their dark uniforms, and all the fans, price tags still attached, going non stop.

Despite all of his success, the Seahawks could have been so much better if Pete wild have delegated an issue to someone, making it high priority, the second he issued a flippant response to a question about it. That flippancy may have been a subconscious effort to warn Pete that something very important was about to be overlooked.

Don't get me wrong, I love Pete, and the success we enjoyed because of him. But I think there were too many times, when Pete was having fun playing head coach, that he overlooked important issues, such as having crap assistants, and allowing them to have way to much influence over drafts, and free agent signings. I'm looking at you Tom Cable.

I have no qualms with Myers ability, but more so in the fact that his XP always look like @$$, lol. Why do they have to squeak in on some jank line, just kick the damn thing straight with some juice on it.

Maybe it's just me...

He can be the defacto whipping boy for now, until someone worthy steps up.

He looks pretty locked in again. Like MOST kickers, he will always make me nervous. But he certainly isn't nearly as bad as I probably make him out to be in my own mind.

kicker seems like a thankless job. Everyone hates you and thinks you're not a real NFL player. Only real attention is when you miss.

Again, just when we think he's good he starts to suck. Just when we think he sucks, he's good again.

Crazy train.
